Congratulations to Ann Buckley from Dublin who won 2nd Prize for her quilt “Daddy’s Girl” in the Best Small Quilt for a Bed category at the Quilt Marquee at Tinahely show 2026.
This was one of four quilts Ann made for her daughters from her husband’s shirts. The centre double wedding ring design was from a tutorial by Donna Jordan and rest was designed by Ann herself.
This quilt was also exhibited at the 20th River of Dreams Quilt Exhibition 2026 in the Limerick School of Art & Design TUS.
Ann is a member of the Eastern Branch of the Irish Patchwork Society

Congratulations to Maureen Talbot from Nenagh, Co. Tipperary fro winning Best in Show and a 1st in the Best Small Quilt for a Bed in the Quilt Marquee at Tinahely show 2026.
“Recollections “ was machine appliquéd and quilted by Maureen. The quilt was designed by Susan Clair Mayfield using white, grey and gold Metro Talbot as inspiration.
Maureen’s quilt won the Viewers Prize in the 20th River of Dreams Quilt Exhibition 2026.

Congratulations to Ann Frost from Sixmilebridge who wine the raffle quilt at the 20th River of Dreams Quilt Exhibition 2026.
The raffle lines were sold for €2 each and all proceeds go towards the cost of hanging the exhibition.
The raffle quilt “Liberty Fields” was machine piece by Jane Harris, the stems and leaves were machine appliquéd by Maeve Meany Jane was also assisted by Jenny Behan, Yola Mikos and all the wonderful Weak Tea quilters .
Long arm free motion quilted by Amanda Kenny.
The pattern was designed by Kathy Doughty and published in “Material Obsession”.
