We are proud to see Future Cast featured in the new promotional film launched as part of the inaugural Leitrim Ambassadors Summit 2026.

Held on 24-25 September, the summit brought together leaders from business, government, education, culture, community organisations and Leitrim’s global diaspora to strengthen connections, exchange ideas and explore future opportunities for the county.

At Future Cast, we are proud to contribute to this vision by supporting innovation, skills development, research, sustainable growth and collaboration across County Leitrim and beyond.

Most importantly, Future Cast is powered by its people. ✨ Two workshops. Many stories, ideas and experiences. One shared goal — designing better accommodation for the future.

We have now completed our two co-design workshops at Future Cast, and what a great experience it has been for all of us!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their personal stories and spoke openly about their experiences of different types of accommodation.

Together, we explored what works, what doesn’t, what is missing — and, most importantly, what could be done differently.

Together, we started designing ideas for future accommodation and more inclusive spaces, based on the real experiences and needs of people who use them.

Your stories, thoughts and ideas matter. We will now take everything we learned from these workshops forward into the next stage of the project — and we can’t wait to show you what comes next!

What a night at St Clare’s Hall!

Culture Night 2026 brought together the past, present and future of this remarkable building, and, for the first time, a look at what Europe means for Manorhamilton.

Thank you to everyone who came through the door, to Margaret Connolly for their stories, to our team for making innovation easy to understand and exciting to explore, and to the whole Future Cast team for making the night possible.

Your feedback and stories will help shape the rest of Our Europe, Our Future as it continues across the Northwest this autumn - watch this space.

Future Cast joined ACRES Breifne’s Women in Agriculture training day at Manorhamilton Mart last week, sharing our EU-backed innovation projects and the opportunities on offer through Our Europe, Our Future: from funded training routes to business supports for anyone with an idea to test.

Equality, diversity and inclusion have been part of Future Cast’s work from the very start, through projects like CoHER and WICEPs supporting more women into construction, STEM and technical careers. So being part of a day all about women in agriculture, and building confidence on their own farms, meant a lot to us.

Thank you to ACRES Breifne and everyone who stopped by for a chat.

Next up: our Machinery Demonstration Day on 17 October at St Clare’s Hall, Manorhamilton - we’d love to see you there too.

Manorhamilton’s newly restored St Clare’s Hall will open its doors for Culture Night this Friday, 18 September, as Future Cast presents Heritage in Motion: From Leitrim to Europe - a free, family-friendly evening of history, technology and community.

Doors open at 6pm at St Clare’s Hall, with history talk from Margaret Connolly at 7.30.

🇬🇷 Two productive days in Trikala, Greece!

On 8–9 September 2026, the BRIDGE-ELT partnership came together for its 5th Transnational Project Meeting.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, review the final versions of the project modules, and ensure that the materials are clear, accessible, and practical for English language teachers.

Partners also agreed on the next steps for piloting the modules and sharing the project results with teachers and other relevant stakeholders.

A special thank you to our Greek partners for their warm hospitality and excellent organisation. Everything was very well prepared, and we truly appreciated the welcoming atmosphere throughout the meeting. 💙
