Here are some lovely things participants and their parents said about last year…🎶😊

Kate really enjoyed Connemara and loved the repertoire selection for the various chamber groups and orchestra. Thanks Oonagh for lovely few days in beautiful Kylemore 😍

Thank you for all your work in the organisation of Ceol Na Mara this summer. There was indeed a great spirit of learning and co-operation among the group, and it was wonderful to benefit from the tutoring of such great musicians.
Mary

I thoroughly enjoyed the four days in Kylemore Abbey and really look forward to doing it again next year.

Thank you so very much for the outpouring of love and support over the last couple of days. It is such a comfort to us seeing & hearing stories of the far reaching impact that my mother had on so many people over the years.
Not only was she an iconic trailblazing musician, and an inspiration for musicians that came in her wake, she was an extraordinarily caring person who was genuinely interested in everyone she met and was generous with her time and her talent. She was also an extremely spiritual person who her whole life had a deep faith that she carried very lightly, in that she quietly used it for the good of others.
I’m hearing about things I didn’t even know about, like people she visited in hospital and various other acts of kindness people remember her for.
She also had no ego, even if you knew her only slightly, she was the sort of person who immediately let you in, and made you feel you mattered.
There was no other side to her, what you saw was what you got!
I was reminded of a time at a party when a young child asked her “are you an actress?” and she replied “no, I’m just a fiddler!”
Her spirit never got older as the years passed, she loved to travel, explore new places, meet new people and loved a good party! Even as her illness took hold she fought hard and incredibly, right to the end always greeted those closest to her by name with a smile.
We will be celebrating her life today in Holy Cross church, Dundrum.
The weather is to be epic and dramatic today (just the way she liked things!) so to those coming please take care on the roads and to those who can’t make it the link to the livestream is here and can be watched after the event also.
So don’t take any chances driving long distances! She’d be the first to tell you not to!
Thank you once again for all the love ❤️
