Sports day! ⛹️‍♂️🤸‍♂️🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍➡️
Everybody from pre-school to 6th was a superstar today, with our senior pupils taking the role of team captains and ably guiding the younger children through the stations. This was followed by a delicious barbeque 🍔🌭 provided by our parents' association and traditional games (egg and spoon, sack race, 3 legged race and sprint). To top it all off, to acknowledge it being Mr. Carney's final sports day in St. Brendan's, he captained the adults' team in an adults VS kids relay. 😂🤩

A huge well done to our boys from 4th, 5th and 6th class who got to the semi-final stage of the Cumann na mbunscoil, played in McHale Park back pitches last Thursday. It was wonderful to see such great team work at play and the lads were gracious in both victory and defeat. We are very proud!🖤🤍🖤🤍

Thank you to Darren for organising and ecologist Tom for guiding Junior and Senior Infants on their nature walk. We explored the different habitats found in Westport House: grassland, freshwater and woodland. We learnt about the different animals that are found at Westport House such as bats, otters, swans, kingfishers and a woodpecker.

5th and 6th visited the SHS, where they participated in an excellent Basketball clinic run by TY students with support from Ms. Mcmanamon. We are immensely proud of this group of girls who played the quarter-final of the Cumann na mBunscoil today against Ballyheane N.S. They showed great grit and fighting spirit, and although the match didn't go our way, they should be very proud! Maith sibh! 🤩🏐🖤🤍
