Our Sports Day was held on Tuesday and the weather helped to make it a very enjoyable day. Thanks to everyone who helped make it a success.

A very enjoyable end of year Gaelic football tournament was organized by our 6th class pupils. Well done to everyone who took part and thanks a million to 6th class and their teachers Ms Screeney and Ms Gannon for organizing.

We were delighted to collect our 6th Green Flag today at an awards ceremony in the Radisson Hotel, Athlone recently, recognising our work in Global Citizenship – Litter & Waste as part of the Green-Schools Ireland programme. We held our Green Flag raising ceremony this week. Thanks to our hard working Green Schools committee led by Ms Molloy and Ms Gleeson.

Our boys hurling team were recently presented with their winners medals for the Cuman na mBunscoil A Hurling competition. We were joined by Offaly hurlers Adam Screeney, Brian Duignan and Ross Ravenhill who preseted the lads with their medals.

We are very grateful to the lads for making time to come in and present medals and chat with the lads. Thanks also to our local clubs for their support throughout the year. Thanks also to our GPO Eimear Carroll and finally thanks to our parents for all their support throughout the year.

Some of our 6th class pupils enjoyed a fantastic trip to Ballycommon, cycling along the Grand Canal using a variety of accessible bikes from Dicks Bike Hire 🚲☀️
We had a wonderful day — the sun was shining, there were lots of laughs, and many happy memories were made 😄
We also enjoyed some delicious treats at Ballycommon Bakehouse 🍰
The trip was a big thumbs up from everyone — pupils and adults alike 👍 and we will definitely be returning again soon!
We are so lucky to have this business and resource at our doorstep — so inclusive and accessible to our students. We will be back soon! 😀🚲
