KilkennyTango recommences next Thursday, 31st March, with a series of classes taught by Jazmin Chiodi, an Argentine professional dancer and teacher.

The classes teach the fundamental techniques and elements of Argentine Tango to discover a natural way of dancing and a new level of body expression and communication. You will learn combinations of movement, with an emphasis on maintaining the relationships with your partner, the music and the space.

Check out Monina's revamped website www.TangoIreland.com, launched to celebrate her 10 years in Ireland teaching tango.

Monina was the first professional Argentine Tango teacher to setup in Ireland, following a number of visits with her partner Gustavo Porter to the then fledgling DATS Dublin Tango.

Argentine Tango has since spread to Cork, Galway, Limerick, Belfast and now Kilkenny.

Mount Juliet Estate are hosting a Tango Concert next Tue 10-Jul’12 at 20:00

Music is by the 25-piece National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, lead by violinist Fionnuala Hunt.

Alas, apparently there is no room for a dance-floor so there won’t be a chance to dance. However, Hernan Catvin and his partner Simona Zaino (aka CompadritoArgentineTango / Tango Fever) will be performing during the concert.

National Youth Orchestra of Ireland Evening of Summer Tango will take place on July 10th. Join the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland concert in the luxurious surrounds of the Mount Juliet Courtyard for an evening of summer tango, led by renowned violinist Fionnuala Hunt.
