12 New Gardaí for North Kildare 👮

I am very happy to share that 12 new Gardaí have been allocated to stations in the constituency following today's attestation ceremony in Templemore.

Nine will take up duty in Leixlip and three in Naas, part of an overall allocation of 19 probationer Gardaí to the Kildare/Carlow Division.

In total, 206 new Gardaí attested today.

Both Naas and Leixlip have grown significantly in recent years, and Garda presence on the ground is something people right across the constituency have consistently raised with me. This is a welcome strengthening of policing locally.

My congratulations to every one of the 206 new Gardaí who attested today, and my thanks to Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan and the Garda Commissioner for keeping recruitment moving at pace.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish the the new recruits taking up duty in Naas and Leixlip every success in their new roles.

An open information session in Sallins Scout Hall will take place from 11-1pm.

Open to everyone.
Pop down to ask questions about how you can improve your home for energy resilience and decrease energy costs.

This is also open to groups of residents in the same estate that want to find out about potential group discounts.
