Hi all, sports week this week with our annual sports day, lots of different races like egg and spoon race, the sack race and the firm favourite the high jump, we also had an obstacle course, a team work sport activity and lots more outdoor fun. We also made some special things for Father’s Day. Enjoy the weekend.

Happy Friday,
A follow the line movement activity, when I grow up I want to be a….. worksheets, an opposites exercise, International day of play and transitioning from preschool to big school were some of the exciting things we got up to this week at Millview Montessori.

Good afternoon everyone,
This week was the highlight of the school year with our annual school tour. We went to the big blue barn and the children loved the bus journey, the slides, the football area and fun at the big blue barn, it was a huge success. Thank you to all our helpers. This week we also had outdoor activities, learning about movement, drawing friends and a birthday celebration.

Happy Friday everyone,
Wow what a fantastic sunny 😎 week we just had. We took full advantage of it by having an outdoor week. We had arts and crafts outside, a picnic 🧺, sand play, hurling, balancing on the balance beam, trampoline fun, the children had their own tractor run, the children watered their sunflowers and the highlight of the week was watching farmer John, Robert and Alan, rowing silage, baling silage and wrapping it. The children were so excited about this.

Happy Hero day,
We had lots of great superheroes today 🦸‍♂️🦹. The children took part in the Hero interviews and colouring in sheets. We had very exciting news with the appearance of our butterfly 🦋 from its chrysalis, we showed the children how to make some butterfly nectar to feed the butterfly. We also planted our sunflowers 🌻 and the children drew their favourite superheroes. We spoke about Zoo animals and their habitats, we watched some of the live webcams from Dublin Zoo and other zoos around the world.

Happy Child services week, we had music Monday, toe tapping Tuesday, wondrous Wednesday, tales on Thursday and fantasy Friday.

Another great week, we had a fantastic news time with lots of adventures being told by the children. We introduced our new topic of the month ‘The Zoo’. The children built their own zoo animal. There was great things being built using outdoor bricks and we had a great show & tell. Enjoy the weekend.

Happy May bank holiday weekend,
This week we had two birthday celebrations, we introduced the counties of Connacht and Ulster, the children played with the musical instruments and did a dribbling exercise. Some children were gardening and some played duck duck goose.

Hi Parents, this week we took full advantage of the lovely weather and had some great outdoor days, we had a jersey day, a car wash day, an Earth day tuff tray, we had our 1st picnic of 2026 and the children got to play with our new hurl and sliotar sets. Enjoy the weekend.
