We had a lovely visit today from Garda Maeve. She came to talk to the children in the Senior Room about staying safe around Hallowe’en time. The children had lots of questions and Maeve was able to give lots of advice. Garda Maeve also gave the children a chance to look at the Garda car. I think the best bit was looking at the blue lights and hearing the siren!

The children in the Junior Room were given a Stem challenge where they had to create a wall to support Humpty Dumpty so that he wouldn’t fall. They had great fun using their imagination and came up with several ways to keep Humpty Dumpty safe!

Thank you to everybody that donated bottles and cans to help support our fundraiser. The children had great fun today guessing how much our bottles and cans would make. They enjoyed the trip to SuperValu to return them. We raised €41.75 and this is a great start!

We had a little visitor in KPNS today. All the children got to see a little frog with his long legs. Once he had said hello to everyone, we let him go to find a new home in our school grounds. He is well camouflaged with his brown and green coloured skin. Can you find him in the photos?

We are delighted to introduce a new Deposit Return Scheme fundraiser at Kells Parochial NS.

As part of this initiative, we have placed a yellow Deposit Return bin at the back of the school. Please support our school by bringing eligible plastic bottles and cans to school to place in the yellow bin.

The money raised through the returned containers will go directly towards our school funds, helping us to provide additional resources and opportunities for our pupils.

This is also a wonderful opportunity for our school community to promote environmental awareness and sustainability. By returning bottles and cans, we can reduce waste, encourage recycling and at the same time, raise much-needed funds for our school.

Harvest Time: We would like to thank the Smyth family for providing and planting beetroot plants in our school garden earlier this year. The Infants and 1st class enjoyed harvesting the beetroot and seeing how well they grew over the summer.
