Junior Infants: Day 1! 🎒✨
And just like that… our brand-new Junior Infants have officially joined Team Maio! 💙

There were big smiles, busy little feet, new friends to meet, adventures to begin — and not one “Where’s Mammy?” moment along the way! 😄

What a brilliant first day for our newest pupils. We think they’re going to be right at home in no time! 🌟📚

Goodbye to three special families!
As another school year comes to a close, we take a moment to acknowledge three wonderful families whose journeys with St. Anne's NS have now reached their final chapter.

The Carolan family have been part of our school community for many years, with all six boys proudly passing through the doors of St. Anne's. Their family has contributed so much to school life over the years and they leave behind many happy memories and friendships.

The Eames family also say goodbye to St. Anne's, having seen four children complete their primary education with us. We are grateful for their support, involvement and commitment to our school throughout the years.

We also extend our very best wishes to the Dmytriiev family. Arriving in Ireland from the Ukraine in 2022, they became a valued part of our school community. It has been a privilege to watch their son settle, grow and flourish during his time in St. Anne's. We thank them for sharing part of their journey with us, we congratulate them on the recent arrival of their new baby girl and we wish them every happiness in the future.

To all three families, thank you for the trust you placed in us, for your support of our school and for the many memories you leave behind. While your time at St. Anne's has come to an end, you will always remain part of our school family.

We wish each of you health, happiness and success in the years ahead.

Learner Drivers at St. Anne’s NS ! SCHOOL CORRIDOR TURNED RACETRACK: SPHERO RVR LICENCE TESTING IN FULL SWING!🚦

Yesterday our school corridor looked more like a high-tech test track than a hallway!🚗 💨

Our pupils took on the SPHERO RVR Driving Licence Challenge, mastering the controls on their iPads before earning their licence to hit the track.

There were careful turns, perfect parking, speedy slaloms, impressive spins, flashing headlights and colour-changing light displays, all programmed and controlled by the children themselves. Once everyone had earned their licence, it was time for the big race-offs down the corridor. The cheers, laughter and excitement could probably be heard in the next parish!

Beyond the fun, pupils were actively developing and applying key skills through play. They were communicating, collaborating, problem-solving, thinking critically and making decisions in real time. They were once again developing coding, computational thinking, teamwork and perseverance, while discovering that learning can be an incredible adventure. They also showed creativity in how they programmed and controlled their vehicles, resilience when things did not go to plan and confidence as they refined their approaches through trial and improvement.

This is what learning looks like in the new Primary Curriculum: purposeful, active, playful and connected, where pupils are not just completing tasks but exploring, creating and understanding together through meaningful experiences.

Who knew a school corridor could become a racetrack and deliver such fun and exciting high-
speed learning? 🏁 🤖 📱

A huge thank you to our two wonderful "Secret Garden Fairies" for once again working their magic in our school garden !

Each year, we arrive to find flower beds beautifully weeded, plants lovingly cared for and our school grounds looking brighter and more welcoming. Although we have no idea who you are 😉, please know that your kindness, generosity and countless hours of voluntary work never go unnoticed.

Your care and pride in our school make such a difference for our pupils, staff and visitors. Thank you for helping to create such a beautiful outdoor space for everyone to enjoy.

Whoever you are, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your quiet acts of kindness are truly appreciated. 🥰

It was a pleasure to welcome Ms Anderson from Drumbaragh NS back to our school last Thursday to visit her former pupils and wish our 6th Class graduates all the very best as they prepare to begin the next chapter of their journey.

Many of our graduates started their primary school years in St. Anne’s NS under Ms Anderson's care and guidance, so it was lovely for them to have the chance to meet her again, share memories and say a final goodbye before moving on to secondary school.

Thank you, Ms Anderson, for taking the time to visit. Your kindness, encouragement and continued interest in your former pupils were greatly appreciated and your visit meant so much to them. We wish you every continued success and happiness in your new school !
