Game Of Loans We are a team of T.Y Students in Gorey Community School participating in the AIB Build a Bank Challenge 2016/2017.

What an amazing year! Just to let everyone know, today we didn't win the national final of the build a bank challenge 2017. We're so sorry to say that we came away without a win, But we are so proud of everything we have achieved over the past few months. The 1st team in years from our school to even make it as far as nationals! Amazing achievement. We have grown as people and as a team and we are so thankful for this experience. A massive, massive thank you to everyone who helped us throughout the year, to all of our account holders and the school for their support. To Ms Clancy and Ms McGrath, who have given us the best support and helped drive us to be the best everyday. To Natalie, our AIB student officer, who has dedicated so much time and effort into helping us. To Eabha and Bethany, we cannot thank you two enough. To Martin, our bank manager for leading our team. And to our fellow students, for their constant support! We couldn't have done it without you. This year has been full of success, excitement, drama, and at times, stress but we wouldn't change it! Looking forward to finishing off the year with our Splash Dash!

This isn't the end for us. Game of Loans will continue till the end of our school year and we hope that next years TY's enter once again, as this has been an extremely enjoyable and worthwhile experience. We will see you in Room 108, every Wednesday from next week, where we have a few more prizes to give away, and also have a Splash Dash to look forward to.

Tomorrow is the day!! We cannot wait to represent our school, our community and our county tomorrow in the national final of the build a bank challenge 2017🎉 We've worked our hardest over the past few months, and are beyond proud to have gotten this far in the competition! 👑 Special thanks to Natalie, our student officer, Ms McGrath, Ms Clancy, Eabha and Bethany for all of their help💛 Follow all of our social media for updates tomorrow!! 👑

Highlight number 2!🎉 We have received an immense amount of support from local businesses! Wow. Only one more day till our national final in the RDS!🙈 Throughout today we will be posting highlights of our banking journey, let's start off with the community. We have loved doing our bit for our local community over our journey! 🎉 We are delighted to say, we first raised €100 by a raffle at our launch for St Aidan's Gorey, we helped Operation Smile raise €1600, we contributed to Lollipop day Gorey in aid of Oesphageal Cancer and helped raise €900, we have so far made over €2100+ from our Splash Dash, which will take place in May!🎉 This money will go to St Aidan's Gorey💛 Lastly, we've raised €300 via our 'what's in the jar' competition which Becky and Daire sold tickets to the people of Gorey on the Main St. This means, we have raised over €5000 for Charity during our experience! We know we have done our community and our school proud with these figures, and just getting to see the kids faces when they were told they'd be buying a toy tractor with the money we've raised when we visited St Aidan's Daycare Centre for the disabled - that was 100% worth doing this experience 🎉 NATIONALS IS TOMORROW, wish us luck!
