The results of the Primary School Survey are on our website, www.castletownnationalschool.ie under the News tab. Parents and community stakeholders are invited to view the responses to the survey in the areas of patronage, language medium and whether co-ed or single s*x is preferred. The results will also be discussed at the PA AGM next week. Submissions in response are welcomed and all details are in the attachments on the website.

🍃 🍂🪾The Outdoor Classroom** 🍃 🍁 🍃

We are really enjoying outdoor learning opportunities in this lovely weather. Today, senior classes enjoyed reading groups, SEE (New curriculum term- Social and Environmental Education) and art. They were identifying local flora and fauna. Some children enjoyed making a fort at break time too! We are so blessed with our wonderful surroundings!

As teachers and SNAs, we are needed to be co-regulators for the children in our care. As such, it’s important for us to begin the year prioritising staff wellness. We were delighted to welcome Greg Joynt to facilitate again. We are prepped and ready to welcome existing and new pupils tomorrow for another productive year of learning ❤️

As we prepare to return next week, we are delighted to share this NCSE ebook that we are included in for best practice in Wellbeing in schools. Ms. Russell was delighted to speak at this event and to share the forum with other schools, sharing ideas and showcasing what works for children in terms of regulation and wellbeing.
