Olivia Hennigan who teaches on the Oughterard Green Cert course is part of a Teagasc Roscommon/Longford Women in Agriculture group who are visiting the European Parliament.
Well done to Olivia and colleagues for ensuring that women's voices are part of the discussion of key issues of the EU Common Agricultural Policy.

Congratulations to St Paul's TY student, Elaine Williams who won a voucher from Sullivans Country Grocer for recording a range of species on the National Biodiversity Data Centre website.

Well done to the Spanish language class at Oughterard FET Centre and their teacher Sarah Toomey.
They completed Beginners/QQI Level 3 Spanish and are working towards their Level 4 Certificate in May.

Thank you to Kay Synott who delivered a FET Pathways Biodiversity Course with TY students from St Pauls Secondary school.
Students created a poster on 'Butterflies of Galway'. They also explored what it means to be a 'citizen scientist'
Galway Biodiversity Office sponsored a voucher for Sullivans Country Grocer for the student who records the most species on the National Biodiversity Data Centre website by the end of the Easter break
