Best of luck to our Junior and Leaving Cert students who start their exams tomorrow!
Galway Educate Together Secondary School The Galway Educate Together Second Level School Startup Group came together in early 2012.
It is now made up of parents from four of Galway’s five existing Educate Together primary schools in Claregalway, Kilcolgan, Knocknacarra, Newcastle and Tuam. New members are always welcome. Its purpose is to promote and gather support for the establishment of Galway’s first Educate Together second level school, prior to making an application to the Department of Education and Skills for patronage when they next decide to open a new school in Galway.

Keeping our students engaged in the final week of school is very important, but also a lot of fun! Lots of creative ideas in class like presentation in English on their favourite topic, board games in Spanish and Escape Room games in CSPE!

The Senior Debate team received their certificates from the Concern Debates programme today!
They made it through the League phase of the competition, where they placed number 24 in the whole of the Island. They also progressed to the next round of the competition before being knocked out in the Knockout phase, meaning they placed in the top 64 schools in the competition.
They debated on motions dealing with disinformation, fast fashion, global poverty and world hunger. It has been a pleasure and an honour to see them in action, they are truly inspiring!
Thanks to their teacher LeighAnn for working with them through each debate throughout the year. 👏
