First Friends Creche

On Tuesday 22nd of December 2015 after nearly 13 years in business it will be my very last day in the creche😢
I will be having a farewell party for all parents and children past and present friends family staff and all that would like to pop in......I would really like to see u all and would really appreciate it......it will kick off from 2......I would like to say a big thank you to u all for everything and wish u all a very happy Xmas and a peaceful new year.......

It is with the greatest sadness and regret I have decided to close down my business of first friends creche clonberne. This has been a very hard decision for me to make but in the current economic climate I just feel I have no other option. I have tried to carry on through the difficult times by reducing working hours for staff, cutting back on wages and even letting go of two great staff members who were with me over 10 years. The reduction of children registering in the last 2 years together with the extremely high costs of running a creche have made it impossible to stay in business.
I want to thank u all most sincerely for ur business over the years. I will never forget any of them. For the parents that have been with me from the start I want to thank u from the bottom of my heart for ur loyalty and support over the years. I wish ye all the best in the future. I also want to wish my wonderful staff the very best in their careers.
I must now concentrate on looking after my family and giving them more of my time.
I want to thank all again for everything I will miss all of ye and I wish ye all the best with everything

Hi all......if u have decided to not send u r child to the free preschool this year and are waiting to send them next year......if u r child is 3 since June of this year u can still register ur child and get this year free plus 2016 year free.......late registrations have to be in by this Friday 23rd.....if u need more information contact Helena on 0879934542

This day 12 years ago I opened First Friends Creche......Fr. Blake blessed it and Ollie Turner officially opened it.......throughout them years I have had a lot of children come through my doors......I want to thank all the parents that picked my creche for their children to attend.....and to the parents that are still with me over these years.....I am truly blessed to have the staff which have been with me since nearly day one and they have been amazing in the care, love, and attention they gave to all the children and are still doing........hoping the next year will be as good.....thanks all Helena

Hope all had a great summer....although it wasn't great weather wise the break hopefully was good for all....We are back on Thursday for pre school and we are looking forward to seeing our new pre schoolers......We are also fully back on Thursday for our toddlers and after schoolers......Please note we also run the CETS program in our creche......u can ask for more info on this from any member of staff......so we'll see ye all on Thursday......

THe day has arrived it's the last day for our pre-schoolers......It seems like only last week they started it has gone so very fast......what a fantastic bunch of children we had this year we are really going to miss them.......I want to thank the parents for sending them to first friends creche and I wish them all the best in big school........so let's party today and have some fun for the last day.....

THis poem is for Dolores Mcdonagh one of my wonderful staff......She has worked at first friends creche for near 11 years and she's leaving tomorrow......she wants to pursue different things and she feels this is the right time.....she worked over the years mainly with the toddlers but has worked with all age groups and has exciled in all areas......She will be so missed by the children, parents, staff and by me and my family.....In which she was a very loyal friend to me and always took time to listen to my children.......I wish her as do my staff the very best of luck in whatever she decides to do and I have no doubt she will do very well.....Just remember the door is always open.....you will be missed

The preschool graduation and pics took place today.....All the children looked lovely and we're so so excited.....They were all so very good and all had big smiles.....Thanks helen for coming and taking the pics I'm sure that they all came out super.....I just took one or two outside......

Our Barnardo's walk took place today......The sun just came out for all the children today who were really excited......Thanks to all the parents and everyone that has donated to this very worthy cause.....We haven't got an amount yet but when we do ill let u know....Thanks again.....

Our annual Barnardo's toddler walk takes place tomorrow(weather permitting). It will start at the creche at 11 am and will walk as far as church and back again.....We do this walk every year and the children love it.....its for a very worthy cause and anyone that wishes to donate it would be very much appreciated......
