Hey g**s and theys! Hope you're all doing well and mentally ready for week 6!! I'm here (very last minute, I know!) to tell you about our next themed week!! This week is Q+ Week! And we have a lot of events for you so without any delay, let's get into it!
TODAY, we have a movie screening! We'll be watching "Handsome Devil" in O'Flaherty theatre at 6pm! What a great way to start the week! We have included some trigger warnings as well, so if you need to sit it out because of those, we understand!
TOMORROW, Tuesday the 17th, at 6pm we hope to see you in Fotrell Theatre for a special quiz! You and your friends in teams of 3-5 can test your knowledge of q***r history, media and culture!
On Wednesday, we will bring the tea, you bring the energy! At 6pm in AMB-G067 (slight deviation from the email, room changed!) we will have some tea, snacks and activities for you! All we ask of you is you bring your reusable cups and dress in either purple, green, black or yellow!!
And finally, on Thursday, we welcome the amazing Dr Rachel H. Whitbeck, who will give us an amazing presentation covering the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals, who also identify with a minority faith, race and/or ethnicity living in Ireland! This is her Ph.D. topic and we are so thankful for her time to join us (over Zoom) to talk us through her findings!

And that's all! We hope to see you at our events this week and take care! ❤❤

BRÓD BOOK IS OPEN FOR BUISNESSS!!!
(dw bród book 25 havers, your orders are coming in)

We are officially accepting submissions for Bród Book 2026 in the QR Code above or our linktree in our bio!

All the profits of the book will be going to the PCRF (Palestinian Children's Relief Fund) which, despite it's name, provides aids to a while variety of age demographics in Gaza- with health, education and food. They also have individual funds on their website (https://www.pcrf.net)

The theme for this year (cause I love a good theme) is Saoirse (meaning 'freedom' in Irish), this theme was decided by our lovely, who have given us an extremely generous opportunity! In our form there is an option for your art to be displayed at Photography Soc's annual exhibition!

Now I know, all this yappage but what is a 'Bród Book'? Well I'm so glad you asked. Bród Book is a yearly collection of q***r and/or student artworks (i.e. photography, collages, drawings, paintings, digital art- NOT AI, short stories, poems, ect.) and each year, the profits go to any charity of our choosing.

We brought it back to life last year after it withered away during the pandemic and won best publication in the socs award. The fact we can do so much good with just donating pieces of our work is a stunning privilege, literally anything helps (and it doesn't have to be serious!)

If you don't want to be outed there's an option to stay anonymous and if you want to do the opposite and shout out any social media there's an option for that too! There's also an option to submit anything as Gaeilge! (Please our Vice Auditor is breathing down my neck. Dúnm-)

Anyway! If you have any questions let us know!
(The singer of this song is a q***r palestinian btw)
