Connecting Europe

The year is coming to an end, and so is Connecting Europe! 🌟 The project wrapped up with a bang 💥, with national multiplier events 🇪🇸🇮🇹🇮🇪🇵🇹 in Spain, Italy, Ireland, and Portugal. The events were a huge success 🎉, attracting students, teachers, international coordinators 🌐, and many others interested in learning how Connecting Europe can support them before and during Erasmus+ mobilities ✈️.

As we reach the end of our three-year journey 🗓️, we are filled with a bittersweet mix of emotions. When we began in May 2022 📍 in Malta 🇲🇹, we had a clear vision of what we wanted to accomplish: a sustainable network 🌱 that would collaborate 🤝, support each other, and encourage inclusive and life-changing mobilities for students in vocational education and training📚. And we did it! ✅

✨ We are proud of what we have achieved, and we are excited to continue our collaboration within our Connecting Europe family 💞 in the future. 🌎

On 6th of December, Iker Orueta from Education & Mobility, Bilbao y Fuerteventura and Tanja Halttunen from Axxell played a key role in strengthening Europe 🌍 by showcasing the power of collaboration between VET providers and intermediary organisations 🤝 when it comes to facilitating Erasmus+ mobilities for VET students 🎓.

This was achieved at the Connecting Europe Multiplier Event 🌐 held in connection with the Do Your Mob 2024 Conference in Catania, Italy 🇮🇹. Over 30 interested participants attended the event, and many expressed interest in joining the Connecting Europe network 🌟.

✨ We are delighted to announce that the Connecting Europe project is reaching its end and the results are now available on our project website! 🌐.

On November 19th, the international team at Axxell got to start putting the results into action 🚀. During the Axxell Days, the fun and educative Escape Rooms 🔑🏃‍♀️ developed within the project were used to sell the life-changing opportunity 🌈 of going on Erasmus+ mobilities to those who are about to apply to vocational education and training 📚. The students absolutely loved the games! 🎮 But it wasn't just the students who had a blast! 🎉 Even the staff of Axxell wanted to try out the escape rooms 🧩 to see how well they knew some of the partner countries 🌎🇪🇺 to which they send their students on mobilities.

We mainly tested the escape rooms today, but there's so much more to Connecting Europe than that! 🌟 So why not enter the world of Connecting Europe, 🌍 and increase your knowledge 📖 of how to support VET students in taking the opportunity of a lifetime 🌈 and attend an Erasmus+ mobility? ✈️

November was a busy month for disseminating Connecting Europe 🌍 around Finland 🇫🇮. Axxell’s international team has had the opportunity to promote the project to various stakeholders during the “Erasmus+ Autumndays” in Lahti, “The Professional Educational Development Project Day” 📘 in Helsinki, “Social Sustainability - Finland Swedish Vocational Education in Focus” in Tampere, and the “Impact Seminar Building an Inclusive Future Europe” 🌐 in Helsinki.

During these events, we gained ideas 💡 on how to ensure the sustainability 🌱 of the project as well as invitations to attend other events and meetings to give more in-depth presentations about Connecting Europe. We were also able to see potential impacts our project will have on vocational education and training not only in Finland 🇫🇮 but at a European level 🌍.
