Read and Save for later
CAO Change of Mind open until July 1st at 5pm.
Well done to the majority on finishing your exams, we hope they went well and wish you an enjoyable summer.
Before you switch off completely remember that the CAO Change of Mind service is still open and will close on July 1st, please read the following carefully.
♦️Please use this time to review the courses that you have applied for and make changes if necessary.
♦️Please make sure that you place your courses in genuine order of preference. What course do you genuinely want 1st, 2nd and so on? However, don't assume you'll get your 1st or 2nd choice.....have you adequately researched your 3rd and 4th choices, both the course and the college, as one of these may be the course that you're offered and you may not get another choice.
♦️Do you have any courses or colleges on your list that you do not want? Again, if you get offered one of these you may not be offered anything else, choose wisely and do not fill up space for the sake of it. You should know clearly why you're applying for a course, where it will take you etc.
♦️Do you have back ups on your application?
♦️Do you have level 7/6 courses? Remember for a lot of areas these are gateways into level 8 courses and take the same length of time.
You'll always get offered your top level 7 and top level 8 if you're entitled to an offer.
♦️Check the alert lists on the CAO website for any new courses that may be available in case you'd like to apply for any of them.
♦️Finally, if you are offered a course and decide to defer it you need to do the following. Contact the admissions of the college where the course is by email DO NOT CONTACT CAO.
CAO do not deal with deferrals. State your CAO number and personal details as well as the course you're being offered explain why you would like a deferral and the college will decide if you'll get one.
Best of luck everyone.
