The end of the school year can be an emotional time and this was certainly the case in St. Mary's as we said a fond farewell to Teresa Daly after 30 years of volunteering in our school. Teresa's children attended St. Marys for 20 years of this time however, even after Katelyn left, Teresa continued to help out in many many ways.

From traffic control to pupil es**rt, Saving Scheme manager to occasional secretary, from photographer to friend, she really did it all. Her love of St. Marys, staff and students, was always evident and her good friend Joanne would attest to this also. Teresa, we will miss you but we wish you a very deserved happy retirement.

Yesterday we held a graduation ceremony for our 1st Class boys as they prepare for the new adventure of starting in St. Joseph's Primary School in September. We recalled fond and funny memories of the last three years before Ms. Veale presented each boy with a certificate. All 1st Class pupils then enjoyed a party which went down very well. Boys, wishing you all the very best of luck, we will miss you.

Sports Day 2026. The weather was with us again this year and Miss McGrath and Mrs O'Regan's class had a fun filled day. Penalty shoot out, novelty races, tug of war and plenty more to keep them busy. We finished the afternoon with a soccer match - Pupils Vs Teachers and a lot of laughs were had. A big thank you to Mrs Barry and her team for a well organised day.

Mrs. O’Regan and Ms. Kiely’s classes staged ‘Alas in Blunderland’ on our school stage last Friday. The girls took part in every part of the production from painting the props and scenery to learning all about stagecraft and scene changes. They learned their lines to perfection. We tried to be as sustainable as possible by making our own props and recycling costumes and repurposing them. They were fantastic and we are very proud of them. Stars every one ✨
