We are thrilled to have received our new disability bike and would like to extend our sincere
gratitude to Variety Ireland for their incredibly generous donation which made this possible.

This wonderful resource will provide opportunities for fun, exercise, inclusion, and
independence, allowing more children to experience the joy of cycling and outdoor activities.

A very special thank you also goes to Louth Disability Cycling Club for organising,
coordinating, and delivering the bike to our school. Your support, dedication, and community
spirit have helped make a real difference for our pupils.

From all the pupils, staff, and families at RBS, thank you for helping us create new
opportunities and happy memories for our children.

👏 At the very end of the school day, after the Graduation Ceremony, the whole school community clapped out our Class of 2026 with their families as they left the school for the final time.
You did it boys!!! We have no doubt that you will make us very proud across the years ahead! 👏

🎉 Student of the Year 2026! 🎉
We are delighted to announce that Stephen Odesanya was awarded Student of the Year at the Graduation Ceremony! 🌟👏
Stephen is an extremely polite, courteous and respectful young man. He has a fantastic attitude to learning and gives his best in everything he puts his hand to. Stephen has shown resilience and maturity when faced with difficult tasks this year. He never gives up, which is sure to stand to him in the future.
Stephen is extremely helpful towards all staff members and his peers. He always uses his initiative and is willing to go the extra mile without having to be asked. Stephen is dependable and trustworthy and when given a job to do, you can be sure it will be done to a high standard.
Stephen has a wonderful sense of humour which has made us all laugh over the years. He has so many positive attributes and this has made him a fantastic role model for all the boys in our school. We have no doubt that these attributes will stand to Stephen in secondary school.
We know his positivity and great sense of humour will continue to shine brightly and we wish him every success and happiness in the future.💫

🏆 The presentation of the Janine Bohill Memorial Award isn't only to celebrate a remarkable 6th Class pupil, but also to honour the memory of someone who made a lasting impact on our school community.

Janine was so much more than a Special Needs Assistant in our school — she was a friend, a guide, a quiet champion for those who needed support, and a person whose compassion and kindness touched countless lives. Her sincerity, caring nature and natural humour left a legacy we will never forget.

Last year, in honour of her memory, we created the Janine Bohill Memorial Award. This year, at the Graduation Ceremony, Ms Fitzsimons was delighted to present the award to Alfie Dawkins.

Alfie is the true definition of 'never giving up'. He has overcome many obstacles and challenges throughout his years at RBS with courage and determination. Despite these challenges, he has always managed to turn up and try again. This perseverance and curious nature has earned him the respect and admiration of both classmates and staff.

Alfie is a good natured student who loves to chat to others about all of his interests. His quick wit, funny stories and playful sense of humour has put countless smiles on the faces of those who have listened over the years. We will miss his wonderfully inquisitive nature and the numerous questions of 'Why?', 'Who?' or 'How?'

Alfie, as you prepare to begin the next exciting chapter of your education, we hope you bring the same character and sense of fun! You’ve made your school, and Janine's memory, very proud! 💫

✉️ It has become an RBS tradition for the boys to exchange letters with their parents/guardians on Graduation Day. There wasn't a dry eye in the house during this part of the Ceremony. 🥲

🎶 Our 6th Class boys performed 'Slán to Redeemer' to the tune of Kingfisher's 'Killeagh' as part of their Graduation Ceremony. Thank to Mr Gahan and Mr McArdle for preparing the boys so well for the performance.

🏆 The Graduation Ceremony for 6th Class boys was a fantastic celebration of their time in the school. The boys were presented with certificates and various Contribution to School Life Awards on the day. 🎊
Shay and Alfie presented Mr Gahan, Ms Fitzsimons, Nicola, Paddy and Therese with a thank gift on behalf of all the boys. Thank you so much to all the parents for contributing to a collection which allowed us to arrange this.
Thank you to the Parents' Association for their thoughtful graduation gift to each of the 25 boys and for providing refreshments for everyone at the end of the Ceremony. ☕️🍰🧁
🎼 Thank you also to our school choir, led by Ms Bolger and Mr McArdle, who performed 'My Wish' for our graduating pupils. 🤎

A special word of thanks to one of our lovely parents, Kate Macken, who did the easel and balloon display along with the large light up numbers for the photo backdrop. This was a wonderful surprise on the day and it definitely elevated the Graduation photos! 🎓
