MiniMinds Preschool, Dundalk is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Early Years Educator to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and enjoys creating a warm, fun and engaging environment where children can learn, play and thrive.

The Role
✨ Full-time position
✨ Monday–Friday
✨ Working as part of a supportive Early Years team
✨ Providing high-quality care and education
✨ Supporting children’s learning through play, Aistear and an emergent, child-led curriculum
✨ Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
✨ Supporting children's individual needs, wellbeing and development

What We’re Looking For
✔️ Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Learning & Care/Childcare or equivalent recognised qualification
✔️ A genuine passion for working with children
✔️ Kind, patient and caring approach
✔️ Good communication and teamwork skills
✔️ Reliable and professional
✔️ Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and current Early Years practice is an advantage
✔️ Previous experience is desirable, but we also welcome applications from enthusiastic newly qualified educators

The wonderful Cassandra will be extending this great offer for another week, €2 from every set of Bows will go towards our fundraiser for Henrijs.

MiniMinds Preschool is having a back sale this Friday for a young boy who has been diagnosed with cancer

We will be donating some of our bows for the cause and all bows sold will also go to the cause

I myself will be donating profits from all bows on my page sold until Friday and donating €2 from every set sold to the cause

All sets €4 each or 3 sets for €10

I have never been so proud to be Irish.
A few weeks ago, I was in a meeting where the topic of community was high on the agenda, knowing our neighbours, calling in for a cup of sugar, or lending a hand when someone needs it. We talked about how much of that has been lost over the years. Children do not play on the streets the way they used to, and that sense of community support can feel like it is fading.
Well, this week, the Irish have risen.
Children are making memories. Parents are showing them what it means to stand your ground for what is right. Local communities are coming out with food, blankets, and sandwiches to support the people protesting for their livelihoods.
This is an honest, peaceful protest against a government that has lost sight of its priorities. But underneath the protest, there is something even bigger happening. History is being made. Children playing football on O’Connell Street, families coming together in support, céilís, music, and people uniting in a way that felt almost lost in this modern, busy world.
I support every single man, woman, and child involved in this protest. Stand your ground. You are doing it for every working person in Ireland.
Not all heroes wear capes. Some drive trucks and tractors.

The Easter Bunny made a very special visit to MiniMinds!

The children had so much fun taking part in an exciting Easter egg hunt, following clues that led them straight to a surprise guest… the Easter Bunny! 🐣✨

There were lots of smiles, laughter, and of course, some delicious Easter eggs enjoyed by all 🍫💛

A truly magical day for our little learners! 🌈

As the year comes to a close, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful educators, parents, and children. Your trust, care, and support make MiniMinds such a special community, and we are truly grateful for each of you.
MiniMinds will be closed from 23rd December to 5th January, reopening refreshed and ready for the new year.
At this time of year, we are reminded that the greatest gift isn’t what’s under the tree, but time spent with loved ones, moments of connection, rest, and togetherness.
We also hold in our thoughts anyone who may find this season difficult those who have lost loved ones, are feeling lonely, or are struggling in any way. Please know you are not forgotten, and we send you warmth and compassion.
