'Times are urgent. Let's us slow down." - Dr. Bayo Akomolafe
In this conversation Dr Bayo explains one of his oft-quoted sayings.
Also he shares with us his perspective on:
How the function of slowing down in urgent times is not about simply resting so that we can continue forward in the same direction. We slow down to connect with the more-than-human world, to engage in deep inquiry about where we are going.

I read "The Craving Mind" by Judson Brewe a while ago and this book gave me more important insight into my "thinking" and "reactive" habits. Looking forward to his new book "Unwinding Anxiety" published recently.
Recent research has uncovered incredible insights on how the brain functions and what can create patterns of anxiety and panic.
Research has also discovered the pathways that make the traditional practice of mindfulness so effective, and how to apply it specifically to the modern epidemic of anxiety.
Judson Alyn Brewer, is an American psychiatrist, and neuroscientist, author. He studies the neural mechanisms of mindfulness using standard and real-time fMRI, and has translated research findings into programs to treat addictions.

A such an interesting virtual lesson given by Youval Noah Harari to the students in Japan.
"Nobody knows we are heading it’s the first time in history that we don’t have any idea how the job market will look like in 20 or 30 years. How society and politics will look like. It’s a very difficult time to be a young person. You cannot rely of the wisdom of the elders….so it’s a great difficulty and It’s a tremendous responsibility and we (older people) need your (young people) help. It’s not kind of some wisdom of the ages that the older people will now pass on to you. It’s a common project. I hope that the older people and younger people will combine their viewpoints their skills their wisdom to solve the common problem on ."

One more but not last important word about talking about wellbeing as a skill that can be built in the workplaces.
"Wellbeing as a skill is a daily intention that can be enhanced by elements including meditation, sleep, exercise, nutrition, community belonging, a spiritual connection and more. Forward-thinking companies will embrace wellbeing not as a vague concept, but as an index of learnable actions and daily behaviour."
The priority for workplaces in the new normal? Wellbeing
Businesses should treat wellbeing as a tangible skill, a critical business input and a measurable outcome.

Based on the research over the last five years provided by Reitz and Chaskaslon, three key aspects: allowing, inquiry, and meta-awarenessare importantto practice in the workplaces.
The first, allowing, involves an acceptance of the team’s in-the-moment experiences and avoiding blame. The second, inquiry, is the capacity to be curious about how the team functions. The third, meta-awareness, is the ability to think from the team’s perspective and not just your own."
