Meet Robbie 🥁
From Dublin’s session scene to stages around the world, Robbie Walsh is a bodhrán player known for power, precision, and pure musical energy.
Mentored by the legendary Noel Dowling, Robbie went on to become the Dublin, Leinster and All Ireland Senior Bodhrán Champion in 2008 - launching a career that’s taken him across the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, the UAE, South Africa, and throughout Europe.
He has performed with acclaimed productions like Celtic Céilí and Celtic Legends, and collaborated with acts including FullSet, Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and The Dixiemicks.
Today, he continues to shape contemporary traditional music as a co-founding member of FourWinds, Perfect Friction, and The Daoirí Farrell Band 🎶🔥

Robbie Walsh and Colm Phelan, internationally acclaimed bodhrán maestros and teachers, will lead our ‘Búla Bus Tour’. We are absolutely thrilled to have the lads on board again for what is sure to be another cracking week.
Join us for a week consisting of daily bodhrán workshops with some of the best players on the planet … afternoon cultural and sightseeing activities and private music sessions with friends of the lads.
The tour is open to bodhrán players of all levels … and non bodhrán players too … with plenty of music, cultural and sightseeing activities planned to keep everyone entertained. Please note that the tour is limited to 1 bus … about 40 people … so places are limited.
