On-stage performances @VCN 07/02/2017

There are four performances on Vietnam Cultural Night, prepared by Vietnamese postgraduate students in UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, to help international friends know more about Vietnamese culture:

1/ "Working on the paddy field" Dance: Vietnam is an agricultural country and we have been growing rice for 4000 years. The sequence of growing wet rice start with seeding which usually takes place in spring. This process is very critical to have a successful crop and it is a really hard job. In order to overcome the boredom and hardness, Vietnamese composed songs and dances about working on the paddy field.

2/ Martial Art: Throughout 4000 years history, to survive in nature and protect the land and family against invasions, Vietnamese people have developed our own martial art.

3/ "Reminiscent of hometown" Duet: A song is written about Vietnamese traditional dress - "áo dài"

4/ "Spring song" Group Singing: A song is written about the lively atmosphere in a beautiful spring and happiness among Vietnamese people during Tet holiday
