So we had another beautiful day of creation yesterday!π
Mandala making for the sports day in Castle Park School.. (it just so happens to be my primary school, so it was amazing to be back there to do some natury art)π
The fantastic Fitzpatrick, my fav geo buddy, designed the 7 pointed star mandala.(such talent!) We started off making it, then the kids joined in and finished it off. All the little hands had so much fun getting involved, and the shape took off as usual.
It was a first for me, to ti hold a Mandala workshop at a sports day, it definitely had its one unique quality to it, lots of excited kids!... the mandala formed very quickly as there were many handsβAnd it was just glorious to have the hoTπHot sun beaming down on us as we got stuck in to creating Magic with little huuman beansππ
Have a look at my pine cone collection... I've got a slight obSESSion with them! π Some of them I've had for over 5 years, and I keep obtaining more each autumn. They add the perfect amount of texture, colour and nature to each shape. They also present a sacred geometry pattern called 'Phylotaxis'.. (another reason why I love them so much).. which can be likened to the twisty swirly patten you see on Sunflower or Daisy heads... if you count each row going left and right, they should each be a number from the fibbonacchi sequence. Boom! π
So, thanks again to Castle Park for having us...π
Feel so blessed to be able to create magic with

Wow! What a day Friday was...π
We were back in Mount Sackville School for another Mandala extravaganza!
Myself and Geoff Fitzpatrick had the best time ever helping all these beautiful little light beings make this shape.
This Mandala was designed by Geo Geoff (as we like to call him π)
When each class came out, I taught an express dance warm up to some funky tunesπΆ, to get them all excited to get their energy flowing... because Mandalas are about having FUN!! π
The star had 7 points, so we were able to talk about the number 7 and some of its qualities...
7 days of the week
7 notes to the diatonic scale
7 colours of the Rainbow π
All while explaining that Mandalas are about shape, color, nature, teamwork, mindfulness.. but most importantly, about being able to let go of it at the end... symbolising impermanence. Nothing lasts forever... and how important it is to be able to let things go with grace.
At the Breakdown Process... with all the classes standing around it, I got everyone to close their eyes and make a magic wish or think of something they were greatful for in their life. We all then threw our gratitude and wishes into the shape...
π THIS WAS A MAGICAL MOMENT π
It took us about an hour n half to draw the shape out.. using only chalk, some string and a few stones as weights.
From the beginning of the creation phase to the break down process.. it all only took about 5 hours!
π Every single child was amazing.. so helpful, eager to learn and they all worked so beautiful in a teamwork environment. It was a pleasure to work with them π
We are over the moon delighted and full of gratitude to be able to come back here to make Mandalas again... and can't wait to do more Mandalaing again oh so sooon!
Thank you Mount Sackville for all your wonderful kids and teachers!! π
Until next time...
Much Love,
Tiny Pixie and Geoff

Mandala making in India...? of course! π
I had a wonderful time yesterday making this with such beautiful kids.
The Mandalas theme was the 5 Elements.
Starting from the center (or Bindu):
Air, Fire, Earth, Water and Spirit in this case was represented as Rainbow π
It was beautiful to share a few hours with these small but incredible light beings. We shared ideas about all of the elements and what they mean...
The flow of energy in these workshops takes on a mind of its own and a magical sense of creativity and teamwork takes place, which is a wonderful environment for children to be in. So therapeutic and connecting for them.
After lunch break we had the breakdown ceramony... which consisted of each person sweeping a section of the Mandala, with the intention of having gratitude for something or to let something go that they no longer needed... this part of the workshop is very important as in represents the principal of Impermanence - nothing lasts forever, everything goes is cycles and to be able to let go of things π
Thank you so much to Yogi Art Centre for having me x
I'll be back next year!
