The Engineers Ireland Thomond Region recently held a site visit to Modulacc, providing members with a firsthand look at how modern methods of construction are being successfully delivered in Limerick.

Colin McNamara, Managing Director of Modulacc, gave an excellent overview of the processes involved in delivering high-performance building solutions. Against the backdrop of the ongoing accommodation shortage nationwide, it was encouraging to see how Modulacc is working closely with clients to help address this challenge through modular construction.

A sincere thank you to Colin for hosting the Engineers Ireland Thomond Region and for his insightful presentation. Thanks also to Shane C. from the University of Limerick for sharing valuable insights from his PhD research, which explores the barriers to the adoption of modular construction within the construction industry.

David Purcell presented Colin with a memento from the Thomond Region as a token of appreciation for hosting the event. Finally, thanks to our CPD Working Group lead, John Coleman, for organising the visit with Modulacc, and to all who attended and contributed to a very informative evening. Engineers Ireland
