An opportunity to improve your English for FREE with teachers on the Trinity Cert. TESOL training programme.

Registration will be on Wednesday 9th at 4:30pm. It is limited to 50 places and then keep a waiting list. Classes will be Mondays to Thursday, from 3:15pm to 5:30pm for three weeks.

Special Opening Offer for Trinity Cert. TESOL

To mark the opening of our Trinity College London training and exam centre, English Studio Dublin will cover the €265 course moderation fee for the first eight applicants on our next full-time teacher training course starting on the 25th of July. If you get your application in early, you could be one of those who only have to pay €985 to do this internationally-recognised Trinity Cert. TESOL course, and be ready to take up teaching opportunities in Ireland and around the world this autumn!

Everyone who has completed this course to date and has been eligible for employment (you must hold a university degree in any subject in order to be considered for positions in Britain and Ireland) have found work teaching. This is initially short-term or substitution work, but over time it develops into a full-time contract (normally 20 hours a week).

Job opportunities in Ireland: There are two main types of courses in Ireland, junior short courses (2 weeks) and adult (20s & 30s) academic year programmes (24 weeks). The junior students mainly come from France and Spain while the adults tend to come from Asia and South America. The peak demand is in the summer months but throughout the year there is a strong demand for teachers in Ireland due to the combination of a favourable exchange rate and our educational visa rules. Unless you have a European passport, however, it can be difficult to get a work permit.

Job opportunities in other countries: There is a demand for English language teachers around the world at the moment but it is strongest in China and the UAE. That is where you will find the best paying opportunities with additional benefits like paid flights and holidays. In countries like Spain you have to be on the ground there at the start of the academic year and the pay is lower, they also tend to have a stronger preference for native speakers.

English Studio Dublin Job Placement Service: Through our recruitment partner D1 Resourcing we can place graduates of our Trinity Cert. TESOL in positions in China, Russia and Arabia which can pay up to €50k a year including flights and paid holidays. Through our contacts with other schools we also help to organise interviews for those who want to work in Ireland and support them with references.

On May 25th at 6:15pm The English Studio is offering a chance to find out all about teacher training without having to commit. As well as being part of the application procedure for our Trinity certificate in teaching English to speakers of other languages (Cert. TESOL), these two-hour sessions offer you the chance to talk to one of the tutors and find out about;

- employment prospects in English language teaching in Ireland and abroad.
- the acceptance of the course by ACELS/QQI and other school accreditation bodies.
- the progressive approach this course takes to teacher training.
- the locations and facilities at ECM College.
