Educator Appreciation Day (22nd April 2026)
We were proud to celebrate our dedicated educators on Educator Appreciation Day 2026. Their commitment, care and professionalism are central to creating high-quality early learning experiences for every child and family. This week, the children and staff have been working incredibly hard as part of the Great Irish Bake Off in aid of Ireland’s Children’s Health Foundation. Each room chose a unique theme to inspire their delicious creations. Blossoming Butterflies brought Alice in Wonderland to life with a magical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Busy Bees hosted an Easter-themed cupcake party, Bright Sparks created a “Bunny Bonanza” cheesecake, and Young Explorers were inspired by the movie Matilda with their “Brucey” chocolate cake.
It has been wonderful to see the creativity, teamwork, and excitement from all of the children throughout the week. We are now delighted to have our parents involved too, as they vote for their favourite creations so far!
Together, we have raised an amazing €200 and counting, with every contribution going towards such a meaningful cause. Events like this not only support a fantastic charity, but also strengthen our sense of community, encourage family involvement, and create lasting, joyful memories for the children.
Bawnogue now have a display on for their parents to see on all the hard work that happened this week.

Last week in Startbright Greenhills we had a visit from the Easter Bunny! The children had so much fun singing and dancing to Easter songs. We also had an Easter hunt that the children searched throughout our Service to find some Easter goodies. It was a wonderful experience to end the term.

Our preschool Mother’s Day breakfast was an amazing experience, the relationships between the children, their mother’s and special guests was a treat to observe. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and love as the children showed their appreciation and love with their hand made gifts they gave to their mother’s and special guests. This was such an inclusive celebration that focused on nurturing relationships, acknowledging all maternal figures and building partnerships with our wonderful families. Startbright DR and STR educators and management would like to take this opportunity to thank all our families for their continuous support.
