It's Tea Day today and we want to give a huge shout out to everyone in The Alzheimer Society of Ireland and all the wonderful Tea Day hosts around the country who are currently helping to make this the biggest and best Tea Day ever.
Today we also want to say a special word thanks to the wonderful Úna Crawford O'Brien and Bryan Murray.
Over the last few years we have had the honour of helping Úna and Bryan to share the story of Bryan's journey with dementia. We have always been, and always will be, so grateful for their trust, their patience and their courage.
It takes a very special type of person to share their story in such an open and courageous way, purely for the benefit of others. We are so proud to call Úna and Bryan our friends. And so deeply honoured that they entrusted us to help tell their story.
So today we are putting on the kettle and sending our love and support to Ùna, Bryan and to all who are celebrating Tea Day and helping to support the incredible work of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

We are putting the kettle on and getting ready for this year’s Alzheimer’s Tea Day. We are so delighted to have had the opportunity to once again work on this amazing event and to film with the wonderful Úna Crawford O’Brien. We had such a great time as you can see from the photos attached. Huge thanks to Úna, her fantastic partner Bryan Murray and all the team in The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. Hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow.
This May Day Weekend we are celebrating all the women who so ably drive the charity and NGO Sector.

Every 5 minutes Women's Aid gets a call to their Helpline. That call means a woman is beginning her journey out of terror. So all the more reason for us to be proud of our Spring Appeal for Women’s Aid – hot off the press! In the pack, Sarah Benson, CEO, talks about the power of three simple words, “I believe you” – helping a woman start her path out of terror and towards safety.
Like so many people around the country, practically every one of our team here in Persuasion Republic has been affected in some way by dementia. So, it has been a real labour of love for us to work with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland for so many years now.
For us, Alzheimer’s Tea Day is always one of the highlights of the year. Not just for the vital funds it helps to raise for dementia services, but because of the extraordinary people that we get to meet and film with each year. None more so than our dear friends, and Tea Day ambassadors, Úna Crawford O'Brien and her partner Bryan Murray.
Ever since Bryan’s diagnosis seven years ago, they have been helping to raise awareness and much needed funds by sharing the story of Bryan's journey with dementia.
This year, Úna is once again leading the way by inviting families, friends, neighbours and businesses to join this year’s Tea Day. So please do whatever you can to help.
Tea Day is on May 7th but you can take part in any way you want. As Úna says, ‘All that matters is that you are there’.

Have you read Henry's Rules for Happiness?
As part of our ongoing work with the wonderful team in LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice we have had the immense pleasure of meeting ‘the happiest little boy in the world’. Henry and his family are sharing their story as part of LauraLynn’s Spring appeal. We had the great joy of working on all aspects of the campaign, including filming with Henry’s amazing family.
We are delighted to share some of those films with you now so that you can have the pleasure of meeting Henry yourself.
And as for “Henry’s rules for Happiness”… they really are rules to live by.
• Always be positive, laugh and giggle.
• Sing a song.
• Paint a picture.
• Bounce on a trampoline.
• Eat lime jelly.
• Cover each other in mud in the garden.
• Rub ice cream on your face.
You can help spread that happiness and help support the incredible work of LauraLynn by making a donation today. Go to lauralynn.ie/donate.
It’s almost time to finish off those last little bits of work, to tidy up our tools, put a year of hard work behind us and enjoy some precious time among family and friends.
Like Tiny Tim and Marley’s ghost before us, like the sprits of Christmas and kinde olde Mr Scrooge himself, it’s almost time to play our part in the never-ending story of Christmas.
But before we do, we’d just like to say one final and very special thank you for travelling the road with us this past year.
To all our clients, to the fundraisers, the teams, the staff, and the volunteers. And to everyone who shared their stories with us, thank you for your courage and hope.
To all of you who inspired us with your passion and brilliance, and who showed us what it is to truly care. To everyone who shared and shaped our world, and helped move hearts, win minds and grow support.
Thank you!
Wishing you and yours a Christmas full of happiness and joy,
From everyone at Persuasion Republic

It is with a deep sense of sadness that we mark the passing of Sr Stanislaus Kennedy.
Stan, as she was affectionately known by all, was unlike any person we have ever had the privilege of working with.
As the founder of, and the constant driving force behind Focus Ireland, Stan was a tireless advocate for the marginalised.
She was a powerful champion for women, especially single mothers facing homelessness. And she was always the first and loudest voice drawing attention to the trauma that homelessness and poverty inflict upon children.
But what we will remember and treasure the most is the woman herself.
Through Focus Ireland, we have had the immense privilege of working with Stan on many occasions.
We considered her a friend. At least, Stan always made you feel that way.
There are some people in life who have a quality about them. A presence that seems to draw you into them. Stan had that.
There was a certainty about Stan. Beneath the soft voice and beguiling smile there was a bottomless strength.
Stan knew who she was. She knew what she believed. She knew what was true.
She knew that every human being deserves the same respect and decency, regardless of their circumstances, race, creed, origin, sexuality or age. She knew there was no reason or excuse or justification for homelessness, poverty or inequality. None.
Stan dedicated her life to put that truth into action. She never waivered.
She was always honest, sometimes angry and regularly frustrated by bureaucracy and inaction.
But she never lost her belief in the goodness of people.
Stan encouraged you to be the best version of yourself.
That's why she was able to speak truth to power so effectively. She inspired people to do and be more.
As we mourn her passing and celebrate her extraordinary life, the greatest tribute we could pay to her is to continue to strive to be the better versions of ourselves that she tried to inspire us to be.
In these angry times, we really need the clarity and vision of people like Stan to remind us of what is true. What is right. And what is good.
Sadly, with Stan’s passing, we have lost one of our guides. We’ll just have to work harder now to find our own way.
Breast Cancer.
The signs of courage.
This is a really special campaign for us because it’s such an important issue. And because our wonderful client, Breast Cancer Ireland, trusted us to deliver a very brave solution. But at its centre are 6 extraordinary breast cancer survivors we worked with – who are selflessly spreading awareness in the most courageous way. Vanessa Pontes is just one of them.
