Now for the diva we’ve all been waiting for: Jamie New 🩵👠
Played by Colin Redmond, Jamie is just turning 16 and finishing his final year at school. However, he cares little for his exams and revised reluctantly. He is best friends with Pritti, who tries to encourage him to take his school work seriously. Jamie is openly gay and flamboyantly camp, and is ready to pursue his passion and become a drag queen.
Colin has been acting onstage for the last 10 years and singing for even longer but only returned to stage this year. Previously representing Dublin West in the Irish Youth Music Awards Programme, performing in a multitude of different musicals for different stage schools, from “Warner Huntington” in Legally Blonde, “Pugsley Adams” in Adams Family and previously playing Scullery in our production of “Road” earlier this year, although he feels Jamie New is definitely his most challenging role as of yet and is very excited to bring him to life onstage.

Our next amazing cast member to meet: Jamie’s best mate, Pritti Pasha! 📚✨
Played by Mabel Sweeney, Pritti is a Year 11 student studying for her GCSEs. She is intelligent and ambitious, and wants to study to be a doctor after she leaves school. Unlike the rest of the class, she actually listens and responds to her teachers.
Mabel has worked in both professional and amateur productions within the industry. She studies with LAMDA and is currently on her medals in both Musical Theatre and Acting. She most recently can be seen in the Bord Gais Energy advert. She can also be seen in RTÉs televised Panto “Once Upon a time at Christmas” as “Goldilocks”. Her favourite role to date would be “Maisie” in “Toy Show the Musical” in the convention centre.

Up next in our Meet The Cast lineup: The legend herself…Loco Chanelle! aka Hugo Battersby 👠✨
Played by Luke Kerins, Hugo is a faded former drag queen who has not stepped out on stage for many years. His retired alter ego is Loco Chanelle and he now owns the drag clothing shop, Victor’s Secret, but business is not booming. Hugo takes Jamie under his wing after spotting a kindred spirit and supports him on his drag journey ✨🩵.
Luke Kerins is the one stepping into this role. He has been in musical theatre since he was young and is off next year to study in Brighton. He has previously played Darryl Van Horne in the Witches of Eastwick and Cortina Man in Made in Dagenham.

Introducing…: Ms. Hedge 👠 👩🏼🏫
Played by Lana Poole, Ms. Hedge is a careers teacher at Mayfield School. She is tough, honest, and unforgiving. She knows that life is hard for her working-class students and is about to get harder once school is over. She is frustrated by their behaviour, and wants Jamie to “keep it real”.
Lana is in her second year at Bull Alley. She has done singing lessons from a young age, and has learned to fall in love with acting and has loved her time in the course. She previously played Sukie in last years musical, The Witches of Eastwick!

Next in line for our Meet the Cast: Dean Paxton 🎒💥
Played by Ciarán Byrne, Dean is the school bully and enjoys taunting people who are different such as Pritti and Jamie.
Ciaran performed at a young age, but got back into acting as a teenager, completing screen acting courses in The Gaiety and The Lir. Ciaran has enjoyed the past year of performance training in Bull Alley, acting in productions Trojan Women and Road. Outside of college, he has acted in a number of shows and short films and is now excited to perform in his first musical.

Our next cast member for you all to meet is Ray ✨🩵!
Played by Chloe O’Neill Kelch, Ray is Margaret’s best friend and a second mother to Jamie. Sharp-witted, quirky and tough, Ray loves all things camp and outrageous. She is a beacon of support for Jamie’s drag queen dreams.
Chloe did shows as a child, but got back into acting last September. She has played amazing parts in all of her college shows and has also starred in 3 short films.

You’ve met some of the cast…now let’s take a break and meet our amazing Student Crew ✨🩵👠
Starting with our Social Media stars: Izzy, Emma & Lana 🩵✨ These three are the faces behind the hard work and marketing, and the posts you’ve been seeing each day! With Izzy posting our TikToks and Meet The Cast posts, Lana reaching out to local theatres and people of interest, and Emma helping with exclusive interviews, this trio is nonstop!
Next we have our magnificent Stage Manager: Aureja 🩵✨ Aureja works hard alongside our director making note of every single prop, costume, character, scene change and more! And on top of that, she is also a part of our amazing ensemble! Her work may never be done, but it is so rewarding.
Lastly, meet our dynamic Dance Captain: Emma 🩵✨ Alongside helping out our social media team, Emma is this years Dance Captain for Everybody’s Talking About Jamie! She keeps our dancers in tip top shape, leading our warmups each morning and running choreography whenever we can!

They’re dying to get to know you…Meet our Drag Queens of Legs Eleven! ✨👠💋
Sandra Bo***ck played by Ben Doyle, Laika Virgin played by Jonah Higgins and Tray Sophisticay played by Rhys MurrayWalsh are a fabulous trio of faded and jaded drag queens who encourage Jamie’s ambition and calm his nerves before his first ever gig 🙏✨
