Last week marked the launch of this year's DCU Access to the Workplace programme, and we celebrated it at the LinkedIn Dublin office!
DCU Access to the Workplace is a fully paid summer internship programme for DCU Access and neurodivergent students, hosted by some of Ireland's leading companies.
Research shows that students from disadvantaged backgrounds earn less than their peers after graduation, even with the same degree and grades.
ATTW was set up to help change that, giving students the professional experience and networks that can make a real difference to their careers.
As well as hearing from our speakers, students had the chance to network, ask questions, and get a real feel for what the professional world looks like.
Access Ambassador Amy was also on hand to share her own experience of the programme on the day.
A big thank you to our students for coming along, and to everyone at LinkedIn for making it such a memorable day! 🩵

Last week we launched this year's DCU Access to the Workplace programme at the LinkedIn office, and it was a really special day for everyone involved.
Nifemi and Ebere from Achieve with Aghogho came in to inspire our students and show what's possible, and we also heard from LinkedIn's David, Julia, Katrina, and Priscila, who spoke about their own career journeys and the skills that helped them get there.
A big thank you to Agogho for organising our AWA speakers, to everyone at LinkedIn for hosting us, and to all our speakers for giving up their time! 🩵🧡

Last week, we wrapped up the UFirst 5th Year Programme with campus visits to College Dublin, giving students the chance to explore their options for life after school.
During the visits, students got a closer look at the courses, supports, and opportunities available at TCD, helping them build a clearer picture of where higher education might take them. Our aim throughout the programme has been to make sure students feel informed and confident as they start thinking about their next steps, wherever those might lead.
A sincere thank you to Trinity Access Programmes staff Bernadette and Blessing, and student Nina Lonergan, for their time, their insights, and great campus tours!

Last week, UFirst students visited the J.P. Morgan office in Dublin, meeting staff from across the business and finding out what working there looks like in practice.

Students also took part in a roundtable with JP Morgan staff and finished with an office tour.
Thank you to Clare and David for organising the visits, and to everyone at JP Morgan who gave their time. 🩵
