About Us:
Lighthouse Consulting was founded by Imelda Fitzpatrick and Deborah Ging in May 2016. Imelda Fitzpatrick
Imelda Fitzpatrick graduated with BA in Psychology and English from Dublin City University in 2007, a MSc in Disability Studies in 2011 and completed further Postgraduate study in the area of Applied Behaviour Analysis in 2015. She gained her BCBA certification in 2016. Imelda has over 12 years experience working in School, residential and home and community settings with children and young adults with developmental and intellectual disability. Imelda worked for a number of years as a Class Teacher in one of the Irish pilot ABA Schools and then as a Behaviour Specialist with a Children’s residential and respite organisation. During her time working in this residential setting Imelda’s role included completing functional assessments and devising behaviour support plans for children presenting with challenging behaviour. Imelda also put together and gave staff training sessions in Positive Behaviour Support and provided some behavioural services to some outside organisations. Imelda has several years of experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Imelda is currently working as the Services Coordinator with a Children’s Service that provides therapy led activity camps and life skills groups for teenagers. Imelda is passionate about empowering children and adults with disabilities to live a full and happy life of their choosing. Deborah Ging
