I am an Industrial Design graduate from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. My focus is on making the world a better place one design at a time.

I have always had a passion for nature the environment and the health of others. I do freelance graphic and product design work from my home in Dublin and keep up to date with new technology and science. I rigorously tackle each design challenge with wit and aesthetically meaningful communication.

This project started off with a simple survey wanting to find out what pets everyone has. It was a simple idea, take a selfie with your pets and # NCADPets. Thanks to a wonderful response my research is filled with this lovely lot! Shoutout to those who responded to

Bear Grylls

Ok so for this project we had to design a watch for a celebrity of our choice and I chose Bear Grylls. I felt because he places himself in such diverse environments, the watch would have so much potential. during my research i came across different aspects of his life that strongly influenced the design such as different materials he comes in contact with (i.e. Tent, Sleeping Bags, Tarp...) and also the tools he uses.

When Designing this watch i wanted to keep it simple in design but aid him in his survival in the wild. I looked into adding multiple features to the design such as Swiss knife features or modular parts but when looking again at my user i decided to keep it simple and discrete. I decided on adding 3 Features:
GPS Technology in the centre of the watch which can be seen as a red blinking light.
Thermometer which was a small piece on the face of the watch.
A Compass which a second face on the watch which rotated separately to the centre of the watch
These Features i felt could be key to his survival while all being easily accessible on his wrist. The strap is made from a strong waterproof canvas while the clasp is a velcro strap. I do hope to return to this project in the future as there a small modifications i would like to make however college work never stops so for now it is what it is.

Okay so for this project our Brief was:

"Your challenge is to design a handheld computer input device and model it to a

high degree."

We Also had to pick a concept or theme to base our input device around and so it this led me to design an Assassin's Creed gaming mouse. It had 5 additional hot keys and a shape that comforts the hand due to its ergonomic design. Our research for this included existing products, major companies involved in the gaming industry and also the anthropometry around the wrist and its movements. The outcome was a sleek design that i feel represents the Assassin's Creed brand and also help the gamer
