It’s that time of year and we’re back at it again! We are so excited to be bringing our new work in progress show, RESIN, to Smock Alley Theatre as a part of Scene and Heard!

RESIN is written and directed by Robert Downes and stars the wonderful Kevin McMahon. It’s a play about love, loneliness, longing and revenge and we can’t wait for you to see it. Come see Kevin fight for his life, his honour ans his Resin.

Keep your eyes pealed for all the deets. We’ll be hitting the Boys School on the 24th & 25th of FEB. You can get your tickets at smockalley.com.

Meet our wonderful director for
SHAME IS THE NAME OF THE GAME, Mark O'Reilly!
Come see his fabulous work at Pennylane Bar 3:00pm this Sunday as part of Dublin Gay Theatre Festival.

Mark Anthony O’Reilly is a Cavan-born, Dublin-based theatre-maker and facilitator. Mark graduated in 2019 with first class honours from TU Dublin Conservatoire’s BA (Hons) in Drama (Performance). Shortly thereafter, Mark founded Melia Theatre Company, which debuted in November 2019 with a sold-out production of Robert Patrick’s The Haunted Host at Smock Alley Theatre. Following that, Mark directed two shows as part of the 2020 Scene + Heard Festival of New Work. He is Assistant Artistic Director of Act Out Youth Theatre, where he has assisted in directing multiple shows and projects, including Inception (2018), PROJECTions (2019), Grandma’s Reindeer Games (2019) and deLIBERATIONs (2022). Mark’s background is varied but heavily features devising, with an emphasis on physically experimental ensemble-based work.
