Do you ever feel something is missing from your life? The spark has gone? You're a human doing rather than a human being? Everything is just a little...dull?

We're here to put the colour back in your life! At Colour Your Life Coaching, our focus is on two key words - Clarity and Confidence. Whatever you want to do in life, whatever you want to accomplish, you will need to be confident to achieve it. We can give you that confidence. But, for most people I work with, confidence is not the most important thing - clarity is. Most people know they're not ha

Ask yourself these questions, depending on your circumstances in life:
What job should I pursue?
Should I go for this promotion?
Should I start my own business?
Should I compromise, or be firm with my position?
Should I follow tradition, or travel down a new path?

If you don't definitively know the answers, then you need to work on your values. What's important to YOU?

Fear is a vital response to physical and emotional danger—if we didn't feel it, we couldn't protect ourselves from legitimate threats. But often we fear situations that are far from life-or-death, and thus hang back for no good reason. Traumas or bad experiences can trigger a fear response within us that is hard to quell. Yet exposing ourselves to our personal demons is the best way to move past them. What demon could you confront today?

How would you define your values?
Before you answer this question, you need to know what, in general, values are.
Your values are the things that you believe are important in the way you live and work.
They (should) determine your priorities, and, deep down, they're probably the measures you use to tell if your life is turning out the way you want it to.
When the things that you do and the way you behave match your values, life is usually good – you're satisfied and content. But when these don't align with your values, that's when things feel... wrong. This can be a real source of unhappiness.
This is why making a conscious effort to identify your values is so important.

What’s the quickest way for you to feel happy…and if you’re not doing it, why not?

We fill our lives with to do lists and reasons we don’t have time to do those things that make us feel truly alive and happy. Pick up that guitar, sing, run, dance, turn on your favourite pop song…it’s Monday, if ever you were going to justify indulging yourself and making time to put a smile on your face, today is that day.
Be happy!

If you didn’t feel any fear, what would you do today?
Fear is a part of our everyday life, but it’s changed shape greatly. Fear produces a quickening of the pulse, a sharpening of the senses, and a rush of adrenaline. Because fear was meant to be something we felt when our lives were endangered, not when we were going into a job interview or asking someone out. We all have simple things we hold ourselves back from doing because we are afraid.

Have courage, and take that leap of faith today.

On a scale of 1 – 10, how confident do you feel today? Ok, now what can you do to make that number higher?

Confidence, like anything else in life is a choice. Life and people will dent yours because you’re human, I get that. But it’s up to you what you do then. You can choose to re-enforce that negative by believing it, focusing on it and owning it. Or you can choose to disassociate from it.

Don’t belittle yourself, empower yourself.

VALUES - What matters to you?

Different things are important to different people - Value systems are very individual. What is important to make you happy? And equally, if not more importantly, what do you need to avoid that makes you unhappy? Ask yourself – what are you doing today that directly contradicts your value system? Are you in a job that involves conflict even though it makes you very uncomfortable? Are you in a relationship where your voice isn’t always heard?

Don’t settle, honour yourself.

Fear - Start by acknowledging it. It's easy to ignore or deny our fears, even to ourselves, in a society that stresses the importance of being strong and brave. But courage can't come into play unless you have a fear to face down. By owning your feelings you've taken the first step toward gaining control over the situation.

Name your fear. Sometimes fear makes itself known immediately, clearly, and other times its more difficult to name the cause of those anxious feelings lurking in the back of your mind. Let your fear rise to the surface and give it a name.

Write it down. Writing down your fear is a way to officially admit that you have a problem you want to overcome. Keeping a journal is a good way to track your progress as you work toward conquering your fear. It can serve as a guide for the next time you've got a problem that needs to be solved. You can overcome fear by facing it every time it comes your way, and, once you decide to make up your mind, your fears will dissolve away.

Values are the foundations that drive most, if not all, of our decisions whether in relationships, career, or just everyday life. They influence our relationships, our performance, and above all our decision making. They also change over time so it can be extremely useful to re-evaluate our own values from time to time to see how things may have changed for us and why. By having a good understanding of our values, we can gain tremendous insight, clarity and focus. Furthermore, we can use those insights and clarity to make decisions about priorities and take action that are aligned with who we are currently…….. and, importantly, who we want to be in the future. When was the last time you sat down and looked at your values?
