We're opening our doors for European Researchers Night on Friday, 26th of September and everyone's invited!
Join us in 26 York St from 5:30pm for an exciting evening of talks, workshops and hands-on demos exploring science, research and health. This year, our lineup of stellar speakers includes Frank Moriarty, Oran Kennedy and Michelle O'Toole. Following the talks, we'll have interactive workshops in our SIM spaces, including:
- An Ultrasound workshop with Andrea Doyle
- See it, Do it โ Living lungs and their DNA with Chiara DeSanti
- A DNA Extraction Workshop with the Future Neuro team
- Clinical skills demos from students and tutors
- An interactive poster session for RCSI researchers

โ ๏ธ Simulated wounds ahead โ ๏ธ
Today our SIM team got hands-on with adhesives, alcohol paints and acetone during a 1-day prosthetics workshop with award-winning makeup artist !
We were delighted to welcome colleagues from to as part of our summer workshop series this year. It's important to build sim skills (and community!) across the country and there's no better way than trying something new together!

Our team had a blast at in Edinburgh! Senior Technicians Tim and Adam are pictured here presenting their research and checking out some of the new advanced in simulation technology.
It was great to meet and chat with our colleagues from the UK and around the globe, as well as meeting up with the strong Irish contingent.

A great day in the Wet Lab today for our Colorectal Day with ST3 General Surgery trainees. Trainees are pictured here as they complete a left hemicolectomy on our custom hybrid training model, which has been developed & fabricated in-house.

We were delighted to welcome Aria to the SIM family over the summer! Representing a 7 year old paediatric patient, Aria fills a glaring gap in our patient simulator offering.
She's pictured here in our newly decorated and stocked paediatric inpatient setting, complete with difficult airway trolley for paediatric and neonatal scenario training.
