Rosemary and Wool

spent the past month and a half knitting this lighthouse jumper for a friend of mine! when i first saw the pattern, the technicality of the colourwork was daunting to say the least, but the longer i worked on it the more wonderful a project it became! i’m so proud and so pleased with how it turned out — it truly was a lovely job to undertake, and i can’t wait for it to go to its’s new home!

knit this very handsome neckerchief from fi*****ng weight merino wool held double with a strand of mohair! featuring a ruffle trim hand-sewn onto the edges, it was such a lovely, quick project that i’m absolutely obsessed with! definitely going to be making more of these and experimenting with embroidery and other kinds of trim!

the beginnings of a new cross-stitch project based on this antique lace! very much enjoying the challenge of trying to transcribe the lace stitches to cross-stitch; it’s not necessarily the most obvious but is delightfully fun! looking forward to the finished product!

my wonderful mother wearing a rosemary and wool original on the streets of london! perhaps the season for festive sheep has slightly passed, but still they’re doing their job of keeping her toasty roasty in the cold!

spent the morning experimenting with needle felting over a glove i recently knit in mohair held double! so pleased with the way this little bunny took shape — i haven’t come up with a name for her just yet but i’m leaning towards beatrix! (too on the nose?) very excited to work up the second glove and give beatrix a friend! 🐇

just finished knitting up this adorable bonnet inspired by a similar one i saw on tiktok! pattern and colourwork chat designed completely by me — i’m so happy with how this turned out and can’t wait to wear it all through the autumn and winter!!!

spent the last few days quickly knitting up this beautiful slipover vest from .dk! it worked up beautifully, and is so soft and luxurious, featuring some little bows on the waistline that i added for a bit of extra fun!

spent about a month finishing this chunky fisherman’s jumper knit in rib! despite several uncooperative seams and nearly (nearly!!!) running out of yarn, the jumper is finally done and will be posted to its lovely recipient shortly x
