Thrilled to see Rebecca White, co-founder of Future Focus21c and co-lead of the Science Foundation Ireland funded Muinín Catalyst Sustainable STEAM programme as a panelist at the Irish Ocean Literacy Network's Regional Event in her capacity as GreenSpace Education Director. 🌊

Ocean literacy is crucial since the ocean is the planet's largest carbon sink and oxygen producer. As an island nation, it’s especially vital for us to care for it. In 2019, Lucy Hunt created Ireland’s first Ocean Literacy Module with within the Codesres project, funded by EPA Ireland. Rebecca updated the module this year as part of her work within the Muinín Catalyst Sustainable STEAM programme with The SMARTlab at UCD

Let’s not only take practical conservation steps but also shift our mindset on marine environments, starting with awareness and education. 🌍💙
