🎃 Did you know Halloween originates from Ireland? 🎃

It started off as an Ancient Celtic festival called Samhain to celebrate the beginning of the darker part of the year. In this period, they believed the dead and the living became connected. In this festival they lit bonfires and wore masks to ward of evil spirits. This translates into the costumes we wear for Halloween today.

Here is our trainee, Clemence (middle) who is doing her work placement at SEDA College in Dublin. She is really enjoying her time in Ireland. As you can see they're really getting into the Halloween spirit with those decorations!

We have been visiting some of our trainees completing work placements across Ireland. This included a trip to Limerick to see Emma (left) who is completing a 4 month internship at a Language School, NED College. Emma is from Switzerland and completing her placement through Movetia.

We recently hosted our French partner's from CFA Des Cartes in Ireland 🇮🇪 🇫🇷 We are currently hosting 12 of their candidates in Dublin and Galway for 5 month internships.

We are excited to share the flyer for our Mob4All Erasmus + Project, co-funded by the EU.

We have began working on our documentary research in order to better understand the situation in the involved partner countries and the discrimination faced by the LGBTQ+ community in trans-national work based learning and the Erasmus+ experience.

We are really happy to share some news about the first transnational meeting online coordinated by MPII- Mobility Partnerships and Internships Ireland Ireland.

As a quick reminder, MOB4ALL is a small scale European project co-funded by the EU, the objective is to encourage as many participants as possible to participate in the Erasmus + experience, particularly trainees from the LGBTQIA+ community, without facing discrimination. 💡✨
