Vegan inclusive Education provides resources for schools in Ireland

22/03/2021

This time of year, primary schools in particular engage in activities that exclude vegan children.

Have you been asked to bring in boiled eggs to paint in class?

Or maybe it's been suggested to bring a baby lamb into school for children to pet, a baby lamb who will be going to slaughter in a week or so for Easter lunch plates?

Have you had any experiences in your school?

Events or fundraisers for charities that buy other animals to promote animal use and agriculture in third world countries.

We would love to hear your experiences.

Are your children vegan and in school in Ireland? Are you vegan and in school in Ireland?

My children have gone through the system as vegans from Montessori to Leaving Cert and children are still in the system.

Over the years I have worked with their teachers as issues have arisen to make things vegan inclusive.

The aim of this project is to raise awareness around veganism to ensure that all students are catered for regarding teaching methods, culturally and pragmatically in terms of food provision and uniform materials.

Our website will be live very soon.
