Your battery is full. Now what?

Battery’s charged. Sun’s still shining. Your surplus solar is heading to the grid for next to nothing.

That’s where eddi comes in: your battery’s best friend. It sends that surplus to your hot water instead.

🔋 Your battery covers the evening, eddi soaks up the midday surplus
💧 Solar you’d have exported becomes hot water you don’t pay for later
🔌 It works with the immersion heater you already have
⏱️ It can heat your water on a cheaper night-rate or smart tariff when the sun doesn’t show

A battery stores your solar. eddi makes use of what’s left. Together, you get more from every bit of sunshine.

👉 Ask your installer how eddi could work with your setup.

Do you drive an EV in Northern Ireland? 🚗⚡

Electric Vehicle Association NI - EVANI 2026 survey is open, and they want to hear about your experience of buying, owning and charging an electric vehicle. What’s working well, and what needs improving?

Why it matters: past survey results have been used in talks with government, councils and charge point operators, and have been covered in the media. The more drivers who respond, the stronger the evidence.

No names required, and you don’t need to be an EVANI member to take part.

👉 Take the survey: https://evani.uk/ev-survey-2026/

Big news if you’re still heating with oil or kerosene 🔥

The Government has approved a new €2,000 boiler scrappage grant to help households move off fossil fuel heating and switch to a heat pump or other renewable heating (homes built before 2021).

💰 It sits on top of the existing heat pump grant of up to €12,500
📅 Opens early 2027
✅ Already started a heat pump application? You’ll get it too

⚡ EV VRT relief extended for two years! ⚡

The €5,000 VRT relief for qualifying new electric vehicles now runs until 31 December 2028.

Fully electric vehicles are also not affected by the VRT increase coming in January. From 1 January 2027, VRT rates go up by 1 percentage point for CO₂ Bands 3 to 20, which includes many petrol, diesel and hybrid cars. Bands 1 and 2 stay the same.

Darker evenings are here. 🌙

While the sun sets earlier, your home doesn't have to run on grid power alone. libbi stores the solar you generated during the day, so you can use it when you actually need it, through the evening and overnight, not just while the sun's out. 🔋

Take control of your energy, whatever time of day it is.

Nearly 1 in 2 new cars registered in Ireland last month were electric. 🚗

SIMI (Society of the Irish Motor Industry) September 2026 figures show battery electric vehicles held 49.3% market share, with EV registrations up 57.3% year-on-year (35,195 units, Jan–Sept).

More EVs on the road means more homes need a charger that keeps up, whichever way you like to charge. zappi lets you plug in and go for a fast, simple top-up, or switch to smart modes to charge from solar or off-peak rates when it suits you. 🔌

Spoiler: your energy bill already went up. ⚡

Energy prices are up 15.3% this year, with household bills set to rise another 10% this October.

Ireland still imports most of the energy it runs on, which means you don't control the price. But you can control how much of your own energy you use.

zappi, eddi and libbi work together to divert and store your solar, so it powers your home and EV instead of going back to the grid for pennies.

Now is the time to take control of your energy. 🔋
