Today is Hug Your Favourite Teacher Day! 💜
It’s not an official day… I just made it up. 😅

But maybe it should be.

Teachers deserve more appreciation, more support, and, perhaps most importantly, more respect.

Every day, we entrust teachers with something incredibly precious: our children. We leave them in their care to educate them, guide them, encourage them, challenge them, and help them grow.

Teaching is so much more than standing in front of a classroom and delivering a lesson. Teachers give their time, energy, patience and heart to our children. And while they may not always get everything right — because they are human too — they deserve to know that we are on their side.

Children need to learn to respect their teachers. And parents have an important role in teaching them that respect.

We can disagree with a teacher. We can ask questions. We can raise concerns. But we can do all of that with respect, trust and open communication.

If we expect teachers to educate and support our children, then we need to support the people doing that incredibly important job.

So today, give your favourite teacher a hug. 🤗
Or simply say “thank you.”

A little appreciation can go a very long way.
