Creating vow books is always a great experience for me. I have the honour of pairing handmade paper with hand-dyed silk ribbons to create a memorable keepsake.

It’s hump day so the countdown to the weekend has begun!
In other news, the floral handmade paper has returned 😍. These gorgeous vow books have now been added to the shop as well.
It’s always an honour to capture someone’s love story and ’preserve’ it on paper 💕

A love letter to commemorate the beginning of their forever.
Calligraphy vows and love letters are always a pleasure to write because I know how meaningful these words are 💕
Also, can we just appreciate that gold on white shimmer!!
A little late to the ‘It’s fall y’all’ party 🤣. We are officially back in daylight savings territory and the lack of sunlight has been a real shock to the system.
On the other hand, I am enjoying all the cozy things that autumn brings 🍁.
Gave my pointed pen a break and decided to do some faux calligraphy 😆. If you’re looking to learn check out .calliscript ‘s upcoming faux calligraphy class.
First time doing a white illustration on black paper and I must say that these Sakura gelly rolls are a new favourite 😍.

If you’ve seen my stories, you might recall the time that I was a bridesmaid unbeknownst to me!!!
That inspired me to create these Bridesmaid/ maid of honour proposal cards. It’s written on handmade paper and accompanied with a personalized envelope plus a wax seal. These features are sure to add a luxurious feel! This and a few other items are being added to the store during the next few days.
To those in my stories that voted against bridesmaid proposals, have I now changed your mind? 😁

Friday introduction!!!
Hi my name is Malika and I am the face behind Quills and Blooms.
I felt that this was the perfect picture to use as it shows me in my favourite setting. Just relaxing, observing and absorbing all the beautiful qualities of nature which I then channel into my art.
Here are a few facts about me:
1) I was born and raised in the Caribbean on a laidback, fun-loving island called Trinidad.
2) I am a big foodie and one of my dreams is to travel around the world trying authentic cuisine. I even briefly thought about becoming a food critic but only because I wanted free food 😆.
3) I love celebrating and learning about other people’s culture. Swipe to see some low quality pics of me at a traditional Nigerian party, Holi and Chinese New Year (I tried Chinese calligraphy that year haha)
4) Art was one of my least favourite subjects in school and I was never very good at it but I always loved using my hands to create crafts.
I made a lot of clothes pin crafts, keychains and pom pom bookmarks.
5) I have never been a sporty person. However, I really enjoyed one sport in secondary school which was dragon boat racing 🛶.
I am very appreciative of you guys and I look forward to learning and growing alongside each of you.
