This September, our Playschool is taking part in "More Precious Than Gold" project for spreading awareness of childhood cancer.
All funds raised will go directly to Childhood Cancer Ireland.

Kiltubrid Playgroup Summer Camp will be running as follow:

Week 1 Monday 29.06.2026
Week 2 Monday 06.07.2026

Hours 9am to 2pm

Activities include
- Arts & Crafts
-Gardening
-Water play
-Science Discovery
- Sport day
- Movie Day
- Music
- and lot more

Cost is €65 per child and can be made cheaper for every child availing of the NCS (National Childcare Scheme).

If your child is not availing of the NCS, you can apply online at https://www.ncs.gov.ie/en/ (every child is entitled to a minimum of €2.14 off per hour)

The camp is open to School Age Children and children starting school in September 2026 and is opened to all children whether their are attending Drumcong National School, Kiltubrid Playgroup After School or not

We are delighted to announce the 2026 launch of My Little Library.
From the 8th of May 2026, all children completing the ECCE programme and starting primary school are invited to visit their local library and pick up a free book bag to support the transition to big school.
The bags will be available throughout the summer.
All families are warmly welcomed to join the library if they aren’t already members.
The books and resources in the book bag support parents and their children in the transition to primary school. The bag contains books for the children to keep, with topics such as starting school, making friends and big emotions. It also has some very useful information for parents on supporting that start in primary school and what’s on offer at each local library. Please see attached poster and QR codes.
The Department of Children, Disability and Equality run a transitions campaign every summer aimed at families of young children starting pre-school or school. For more information go to
