Every candidate attending a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course must be 16-years-old or above at the time of taking the NPLQ final assessment and be able to:

Jump/dive into deep water
Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back
In deep water, tread water for 30 seconds
Surface dive to the floor of the pool.🏊‍♂️

Another year of Lifeguard training in the RLSS National Lifesaving Academy completed! 🟨

From swimming 800m non stop to 50m in 50 seconds!
Rescues from spinal to rope throw and all the duties of a pool lifeguard in between!
From adult, child and infant cpr and AED skills to treating choking and bleeding and many other emergencies!
And that's not even the half of it! 🥳🏊‍♂️🌊😎🥳

STA Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification

Developed in line with CIMSPA’s updated Professional Standard, this Qualification equips learners with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver safe, high-quality, and inclusive lessons across the full learn-to-swim pathway.

What the course covers

Delivered as part of our new HARC Project, the lessons are free to attend and will take place at Culdaff, starting on Saturday 30th May from 10am-12pm.
The classes will run every Saturday morning until 11th July.
