Today was a very emotional day in Killymard as we bade farewell to our beloved principal, Mrs. Anne Reid.

After an incredible 37 years of dedicated service, Mrs. Reid begins a well-deserved retirement, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be part of the fabric of our school community.

Throughout her years in education, Mrs. Reid has inspired generations of pupils, supported countless families, and led our school with kindness, wisdom, dedication, and unwavering commitment. Her passion for learning and genuine care for every child have made Killymard a place where students could grow, thrive, and feel valued.

While we are saddened to see her leave, we are filled with gratitude for everything she has given to our school. The positive impact she has had on the lives of so many will be felt for years to come.

Mrs. Reid, thank you for your leadership, your friendship, your encouragement, and your tireless dedication. You have touched the hearts of pupils, staff, parents, and the wider community in ways that words can scarcely express.

We wish you every happiness, good health, and many wonderful adventures in this new chapter of your life. You have earned every moment of it.
Go n-éirí an bóthar leat, Anne, and thank you for everything.

This week, our Student Council organised a wonderful Random Act of Kindness Day. Pupils came to school dressed in yellow and other bright colours to celebrate kindness and positivity.

Throughout the day, classes took part in a variety of activities focused on kindness, friendship and caring for others. As a special surprise, the Student Council also presented each member of staff with a small gift and a thoughtful message, thanking them and complimenting them on the difference they make every day.

It was a heartwarming day that reminded us all how even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. 💛

🙏✨ Celebrating Fr James Sweeney's Ruby Jubilee ✨🙏

Join us on Friday 19th June at 7pm for a special Thanksgiving Mass as we celebrate 40 years of priesthood for Fr James Sweeney.
