CIF Construction Safety Campaign 2026 👷🏻‍♂️

We are proud to participate as Gold Sponsors of the Construction Industry Federation Construction Safety Campaign 2026, supporting an important initiative that continues to raise awareness of health, safety, and wellbeing across our industry.

At Walls, safety is at the heart of everything we do, and this campaign enables and encourages us to reflect on our daily work practices, share knowledge and reaffirm a positive safety culture throughout the business.

🌿Supply Chain Sustainability School🌿

Walls recently hosted an internal introductory session on the Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS). The session provided an overview of the platform, its resources, and how it can support your learning and development in sustainability and responsible business practices.

We were shown how to use the platform, as well as highlighting the key learning resources, training opportunities, and learning pathways available, and how the school could support both individual and team development.

It was a valuable opportunity to learn more about the resources available through the SCSS and how they can help us continue to build our knowledge and understanding of sustainability across Walls and our Supply Chain as we move forward on our Sustainability Action plans.

We are proud to support Open House Dublin 2026!

Presented by the Irish Architecture Foundation, Open House Dublin is a free festival of architecture featuring more than 200 events taking place throughout the city and county from the 10th to the 18th of October 2026. This year’s festival theme, ‘Dublin Is Living’, celebrates the people, places, communities, and cultures, and of course the architecture and design that together shape Dublin’s past, present, and future.

As part of the programme, we will welcome visitors to the National Velodrome & Badminton Centre (NVBC) at the Sport Ireland Campus in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, offering a rare behind-the-scenes opportunity to witness the construction of one of Ireland’s most significant sporting facilities and learn more about the delivery of this landmark project for Sport Ireland.

🌱 Sustainability Awareness Campaign at Walls🌱

At Walls, we recognise that sustainability is a shared responsibility. Last week, our ESG team organised a range of activities for a companywide Sustainability Awareness Campaign, with each day focusing on themes including Climate Action, Biodiversity, Circular Economy, and People & Communities which are our core topics in our Sustainability Action Plan 2026 - 2030.

🐝 BioBees.ie “Sow and Grow” Sessions - HQ and selected sites welcomed a live beehive, giving colleagues the opportunity to learn about the importance of bees, pollinator-friendly plants, and simple actions we can take to help them thrive.

⛱️ Beach Clean-Up - Colleagues from multiple departments headed to Portmarnock Beach for a clean-up with Clean Coasts, learning more about the impact of litter on our coastline and different beachcombing finds.

🌳 Gowlagh Forest – Our employees had the opportunity to visit our forest project in Cavan to see first-hand the ongoing work supporting biodiversity and sustainable forest management hosted by Green Belt ltd

🥇 Competition – An environmental awareness competition challenged colleagues to identify environmental issues hidden within a mini construction site scene, with many sustainable Irish prizes available to win!

🖥️ Webinars - A series of educational webinars which provided valuable insights to support ongoing sustainability and responsibility initiatives inside and outside the workplace, including topics such as Embodied Carbon, Biodiversity, Circular Practices, Neurodiversity and Su***de Awareness.

The Momentum Games🚴‍♂️

Walls was delighted to enter a team in the annual Momentum Games at the iconic Windmill Lane studios on Friday 4th September. Over 75 teams of 8 persons from various sectors including construction participated in raising vital funds for the Dublin Simon Community, an organisation dedicated to helping those experiencing homelessness.

Over the course of the afternoon teams are required to test their strength, endurance, and competitiveness in a timed and distance-based competition. This is achieved by undertaking the momentum challenge using gym apparatus: rowing machine/bike/ and skiing equipment.
