Today our whole school gathered together to celebrate Mr Golden and Mrs Daly as their upcoming retirements approach. The students formed a guard of honour, leading us into our whole school assembly, where we heard heartfelt words of appreciation from Year 5 student Theia Harris Murphy and Year 6 student Sean Rรญng. They spoke so fondly about both Mr Golden and Mrs Daly, sharing treasured memories and expressing sincere thanks for everything they have contributed to our school community over the years.
Mr Golden and Mrs Daly were also presented with beautifully decorated boxes by Year 3 students Jane Donovan and Saoirse Wool, filled with handwritten thank you notes from students across all year groups in the school.
It is difficult to imagine MCS without Mr Golden and Mrs Daly, but their impact will remain woven into the fabric of the school long after they leave. The kindness, dedication, and guidance they have shown will continue to influence students and staff for years to come, and their legacy will live on in the values and memories they helped shape. They leave behind not just a school, but a stronger community because of their time here ๐ซ๐
