🌹The selection night for the Cork Rose of Tralee for 2026 takes place tomorrow night and Dromahane N.S. is delighted to have links with three entrants -Sorcha and Kate,two of our past pupils and Michelle,one of our regular bus drivers.We wish Sorcha,Kate and Michelle the very best of luck and we have no doubt all three will do themselves,their families and their supporters very proud.🌹🌟

Junior Infants enjoyed a fabulous morning in the sun in Mallow as they visited Castlepark Playground and also took a trip to the library.Eductional and fun all in one !

Hard luck to our Sciath na Scoil hurlers who lost out to a strong Ballygowan team in their final this morning.To make a hurling and football final in the same year is very impressive and you should all be very proud of your efforts.Maith sibh!!

3rd and 4th participated in a very enjoyable hurling blitz in Carrigoon yesterday.Our weekly hurling and camogie training sessions in school with Ester amd out of school with Mr.Verling,Mr.Tobin and Ms.Murphy are really paying off!!!!

1st and 2nd Class had an absolute ball today at Leahy’s Open Farm on their school tour.Playgrounds,obstacle courses,baby goslings,feeding goats,holding snakes,quad rides,go carts,pig racing and home made ice cream were just some of the many activities and treats they enjoyed and the weather was also on their side-a major bonus!A great day out!!!

The girls played fantastically today in Glantane at the Sciath na Scol camogie blitz. Unfortunately, we were beaten by a single point, but the stamina, determination, and effort shown by every player were outstanding and deserve huge praise. A brilliant display of teamwork and spirit from start to finish ⚾️🤗

5th and 6th enjoyed an outing to “Splash and Dash” in Ballinlough today-a swim and a run to get the week off to a good start .They also met Reece Ademola-an athlete from Cork who will compete in the 2028 Olympics-standing tall at 6foot 9inches!!!

3rd Class had great fun learning how to play table tennis with Con-a great sport to both watch and play.They also worked very hard on their Egypt projects-lots of information collated and presented by all the groups.Well done all.
