A fun, educational product that aims to help students and families improve their Irish vocabulary - including all levels/standards of Irish! Players aim to outwit their opponents by creating Irish words with the cards that they
were dealt to achieve a score higher than their opponent. Each card is individually marked with a letter, and each letter has a corresponding value. The more common letters have a low score, and the less common letters have a higher score. You can play the game no matter what level of Irish you have - the game can fit a classroom environment and so you can play in pairs or in groups of three etc. You can also choose when the game will end, whether it is the first person to achieve 100 points or over, or who has the highest score after eight hands - the choice is yours! Focail Iontacha this year entered the new Junior Dragons' Den competition, where young entrepreneurs competed for a spot in front of The Dragons. With hundreds of entries, Focail Iontacha were delighted when they were accepted to take part in the Regional Finals, and after tough competition they reached the National Finals which were held in The Gibson Hotel, Dublin. And, after much excitement and anticipation, Focail Iontacha was listed in the Top 20, and were selected to face the Dragons in the Den. Our game is currently available to buy.
